Dolphins as UDFA per pro football focus
I agree. I'm sure he'll have choices of camps to go to. Doesn't make any sense though.I cannot believe he didn’t get drafted…
Same here, but when I saw that Penn State OT Rashard Walker didn't go until the late-7th round, it's pretty clear that pro scouts' calculus is different than ours. Good luck to Blaise. A ton of experience and versatility.I cannot believe he didn’t get drafted…
Micah Dew-Treadway signed with Chicago.Profootballnetwork.com i meant.

The draft is weird that way. It is why mock drafts are completely worthless because it can go any one of a million different ways and all depends on what teams need in the later rounds. A little surprising the Kieft got drafted and Andries didn't but in the end both will have a shot in the NFL which is all that really matters.I cannot believe he didn’t get drafted…
That is a good thing for Jack. I would guess the Titans HC knows a thing or 2 about LBs.Add jack gibbons. Tennessee titans
Their accuracy gets checked every year, in multiple ways. Here's one example:Kiper and his ilk are the banes of sports TV and the internet.
No one checks the accuracy of their predictions at the end of the draft and questions why they will do the same thing next year.
They play on most humans' inability to tolerate uncertainty and prefer false predictions to no predictions.
Will be interesting if turns out to be one of those sleepers in the draft. I've always liked this guy.Add jack gibbons. Tennessee titans
Also, I posit that many online forum/blogger draftnicks know less than some well-informed fans - this doesn't include me!The draft is weird that way. Hopefully Durr and is that about it then?In summary - Gopher UDFA:
Blaise Andries - MIA
Micah Drew-Treadway - CHI
Sam Schlueter - SF
Jack Gibbens - TENN
Good luck to all!
UDFA get to pick where they go. So you can choose a team in need of a linebacker as an example. Where a 6th or 7th round pick can't and the garenteed money can be higher for UDFA.Curious about this UDFA thing... where is the dividing line, where it becomes better to be an UDFA than being a very late round pick? I think I would rather be an UDFA than the last pick of the draft. Or am I missing something?
I think it depends on each player. A UDFA player ideally goes to a team that is a fit. Ideally, a player goes to a team that offers the best chance of making the team.Curious about this UDFA thing... where is the dividing line, where it becomes better to be an UDFA than being a very late round pick? I don't think there is much difference between being a late round pick or an UDFA. UDFA do have the ability to see how the draft went and try to end up on a team that might have a greater need at their position.Curious about this UDFA thing... where is the dividing line, where it becomes better to be an UDFA than being a very late round pick? lf you're drafted and signed, you are going to get a bigger paycheck and you're at an advantage in that the GM/Personnel Staff that drafted you doesn't want to be "wrong" so the chances of you sticking around for a while longer are enhanced. The other side of the coin is that a UDFA gets to pick his landing spot. Additionally, a lot of teams that didn't have a full slate of draft picks are probably going to work the UDFA list a little harder, so there's additional opportunity there. I think when it gets to the 7th round, a lot of guys would just as soon be a UDFA, but that's likely going to vary player-to-player.Curious about this UDFA thing... where is the dividing line, where it becomes better to be an UDFA than being a very late round pick?
