Black Uniforms against MSU

That gold is not a current school color though. See: https://umarcomm.umn.edu/resources/colors-and-type

If we are gonna just blow up the branding we may as well just try fluorescent green or cyan or something wild. That would at least be more interesting than Iowa's colors.
Except nobody really seems to want neon green or cyan. People think black uniforms are bad ass.

I actually have a Pantone book here on my desk. The official gold is better than some things you actually see out in the market that are Gopher branded. I wonder how much the schools marketing dept. looks at branded merch.

can we just stick to a simple standard of being able to recognize our team on the field. I had to remind my 9 year old several times which team was the Gophers
I mean, I get that it wasn't a traditional look but one team was wearing dark uniforms with Big M's on the helmet and one was wearing White uniforms with a big spartan logo on the helmet. Wasn't all that hard to figure out who was who :)

I actually think they could make a decent black uniform with the new template without in being Iowa-ish looking.

Do maroon numbers with a gold outline. Then on the pants/shoulders do some combination on a white/Maroon/gold with the stripes.

Be honest, you probably think the team should wear these colors because maroon and gold something something.

Those are amazing. Decades ahead of their time.

This version of all black is much better but could be improved with gold lettering with a maroon outline and maroon stripes on the pant legs.

Gotta have maroon and gold in all the uniforms to really look good!

I don’t know college rule, but at high school gold numbers Would not be legal as a secondary color

I didn't know this until you posted it a while back.

No rule in college that I know of. Oregon literally had tie-dyed numbers.

Or green with darker green/black numbers. Gophers could do black jerseys, maroon numbers with gold outline if Oregon can do this

The black unis were putrid.
The white helmets were odd. What the he’ll was that bright blue stripe down the middle?

I’ll be curious if the college rulebook follows the NFHS rules

I think film quality means they May not

OMG, Boston U is wearing rust colored unis right now vs Northwestern! The horror!

I’m not gonna sleep until I know what unis the Gophers are wearing vs the ducks.
