I had a table across from him and Nantz at PF Changs at the first B1G Tournament I went to in Indy in the mid aughts. We didn’t bug him but he greeted us warmly. Kind of the Dicky V of his era.

I thought he was a little older.

The trio of Enberg, Packer and McGuire was as good as it gets.
Agree on that trio. Tops. RIP Packer. I think he was on the call for the Gopher/Illini 2002 game.

As far as announcers for multiple sports, Enberg was the best in my opinion for several decades. NFL, NCAA hoops, MLB, golf, tennis, Rose Bowl, Olympics...great at all of them.
