Big Ten QB Power Rankings: Post-spring tiers for every B1G QB room (Very worrisome: Minnesota (Drake Lindsey))

I don't know how 'plugged-in' Ryan Burns is regarding Gopher football; I get the impression he's pretty knowledgeable.

In this video he makes some interesting observations about what to expect from the Gopher offense this year with Lindsey at QB. A couple of things stood out to me:

1) He said that one of Max Brosmer's main jobs last season was to mentor Lindsey and make sure he'd be ready to be the starter in 2025.

2) Burns says that under Brosmer the Gophers ran a lot of their offense through the QB, allowing him to change plays at the line of scrimmage, and Burns thinks they'll continue to do so with Lindsey at the controls.

Ended up watching the entire video. Good watch, good insight. Surprised Burns is only 32 years old. I recommend watching the whole thing from the start.

Here is the team's won-lost record in the first three games of each season under Fleck...

2017 — 3-0
2018 — 3-0
2019 — 3-0 (eventually 9-0 that season)
2020 — 1-2
2021 — 2-1 (Ohio State in the opener)
2022 — 3-0
2023 — 2-1
2024 — 2-1

TOTAL: 19-5
(Win % .792)
I'm not talking about win loss ...

Kollock didn’t get many reps, considering he’s a True Freshman, so there’s not much to report.

Wittke probably isn’t a Big Ten QB.
Wittke did apparently beat out Pyron. But they did bring in Emmett Morehead as well.

I’m not sure he actually “beat him out.” It was known he was planning to transfer, so he wasn’t getting reps in the last few Spring practices. He absolutely got beat out by Lindsey, which was obviously the reason he bailed. Pyron is not interested in sitting on the bench. They brought Morehead in because they can’t go into the season with Wittke and Kollock as the only options should Lindsey go down.
