Ahead of both Wisconsin and Iowa.

MIchigan getting some love.
 

too East heavy
not the top three teams are in the East
 

Not a huge fan of these rankings.
Would put Wisconsin ahead of Michigan and Minnesota.
Nebraska and Michigan State are too low.
Northwestern is too high.
 

Until we win the West, we shouldn't be favored. Same theory applies to Michigan in the East. I am however, appreciative of the love our Gophers are getting....

I feel the same way.

Indiana is a bit high on that list for the same reasons IMO.

I could see reasons why you could favor us if we hadn't won the West, but they don't apply in this case. Wisconsin should still be the presumed favorite till something shakes up there or we show we can beat em.

4. Golden Gophers
5. Michigan
6. Iowa

I‘m going with this line-up to start the season. Minnesota wins 10 games, maybe more. A win over Wisconsin and West championship moves the program forward. Minnesota moves into the number 2 spot by the end of the season.

Michigan State is gonna be bad this year IMO, and they have a difficult schedule.

And don't have a QB. Sparty definitely in rebuild mode, with their schedule 6-6 and a bowl game would be quite an accomplishment.
 

These aren’t good power rankings.
Wisconsin behind Michigan is a joke.

michigan State was we knew them from 2010-2015 is dead

Michigan state from 2016-2019 is more the norm for that program.


from 2010-2015 they were 65-15 with 5 too 15 finishes and 3 top 6 finishes.


From 2016-2019 they were 27-24 with one top 25 finish.


For context. From 1990-2009 they were 122-114-2

We should ask if Michigan state is more likely to revert back to the program of 2010–2015 or the program of 1990-2009 post dantonio...and I would argue they were already starting to revert with dantonio.
