1. Ohio State (9-1)
Last Week’s Ranking: #1
The Buckeye passing game is no joke. C.J. Stroud throws five touchdowns with Jaxon Smith-Njiba and Garret Willson combining for 19 catches, 265 yards, and four touchdowns. Ohio State had 45 points at halftime against Purdue.

2. Michigan State (9-1)
Last Week’s Ranking: #2
The Spartans respond well after their first loss by dominating Maryland. Payton Thorne throws for 287 yards and four touchdowns.

3. Michigan (9-1)
Last Week’s Ranking: #3
Michigan goes into Happy Valley and comes out with a 21-17 victory. Hassan Haskins continues to have a great season rushing, this time going for 156 yards averaging 5 yards a carry.

4. Wisconsin (7-3)
Last Week’s Ranking: #4
It seems like Wisconsin has found its running back in 17 year old Braelon Allen. Allen had 173 yards with three touchdowns against Northwestern.

5. Iowa (8–2)
Last Week’s Ranking: #7
Even though the box score doesn’t favor Iowa, it was the Hawkeyes that would make the most of their opportunities against Minnesota. Iowa defense held the Gophers to field goals every time Minnesota entered the red-zone.

6. Penn State (6-4)
Last Week’s Ranking: #6
Not much went right defensively for the Boilermakers as they give up 45 points in the first two quarters and 624 yards total. It took awhile for the Purdue offense to get going but they finished with 481 total yards.

8. Minnesota (6-4)
Last Week’s Ranking: #8
Minnesota did about everything it needed to do to win back Floyd of Rosedale except score touchdowns in the red-zone and make passes when they really needed it. What can we expect out of Tanner Morgan in what could be his last two games in a Gopher uniform?

9. Maryland (5-5)
Last Week’s Ranking: #10
Maryland had no problem moving the ball but came away scoreless when they passed the Michigan State 40 yard line four separate times. Taulia Tagovailoa passed for 350 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Illinois was idle in Week 11.

Nebraska was idle in Week 11.

Northwestern has a history of playing well against the Badgers but this year was a different story. The Wildcats only managed 239 total yards on offense against the best defense in the country.

Last Week’s Ranking: #13
Rutgers had their most lopsided victory in conference play since joining the Big Ten- beating Indiana 38-3. They are now one win away from becoming bowl eligible for the first time since 2014.

Last Week’s Ranking: #14
What could have been their best chance of getting their first conference victory, Indiana gets pummeled at home by Rutgers. They now have two more chances against Minnesota and Purdue to get their first Big Ten win.

Would flop MN and Penn State since they are both being penalized for losing to Illinois but MN beat Purdue. Penn State’s best win is wisconsin week 1. Since then, best win is Maryland who Minnesota also beat,

Would move Rutgers to 10 (since they recently beat Illinois and have a better record than them) and everyone else down a spot accordingly

Penn State also beat Auburn earlier in the season. If both teams finish 7-5, Penn State logically should be ranked ahead of us. Right now, this power ranking places Minnesota exactly where the team deserves to be placed (#8). Beat Wisconsin and that changes.

Disagree.
Penn State is 1-4 win in their last 5 with a loss to Illinois and the only win being against Maryland.
Minnesota is 3-2 in last 5, beat the same Maryland team.

Penn state this year is 1-3 against top half of the conference and 2-1 against the bottom half
minnesota is 1-2 against the top half and 3-1 against the bottom half

They’re essentially equal résumé’s removing the bowling green game. Which in a power ranking is different. Because it is so long ago. It would be pretty close to a pick ‘em on a neutral field and if it wasn’t I would pound the gophers to cover.

I agree Penn state will get and should get bowl selection first…because Bowling Green.
