Vegas came out with these recently...have the Gophs at 5.5 - seems too low
I like Penn State's chances of going over 7.5 with their Sept schedule

Big Ten

Illinois: 3.5 (over -140, under +100)

Indiana: 6 (over +140, under -180)

Iowa: 7.5 (over -115, under -125)

Maryland: 4.5 (over -120, under -120)

Michigan: 7.5 (over -140, under +100)

Michigan State: 9.5 (over -140, under +100)

Minnesota: 5.5 (over -150, under +110)

Nebraska: 8 (over -120, under -120)

Northwestern: 6.5 (over +110, under -150)

Ohio State: 11 (over +100, under -140)

Penn State: 7.5 (over -135, under +105)

Purdue: 4 (over -145, under +105)

Rutgers: 5 (over -145, under +105)

Wisconsin: 10 (over +160, under -210)

Link?

Is Maryland that bad? Just quick glance I'd say, Maryland over, Minnesota over, and Wisconsin under are the best bets here, kinda like Illinois and Rutgers over too but have too look at that a little more to see what their non-conference games look like

Big Ten

Illinois: 3.5 (over -140)

Indiana: 6 (under -180) but I would stay away because I think they might push

Iowa: 7.5 (under -125) but I would stay away, easy schedule to get 8 wins if they improve even a little

Maryland: 4.5 (over -120)

Michigan: 7.5 (under +100) but I would stay away

Michigan State: 9.5 (over -140) but I would stay away

Minnesota: 5.5 (over -150) pretty confident they will win at least 6, though 6 wouldn't shock me. I'd predict 8-9 wins.

Nebraska: 8 (over -120, under -120) I think they hit exactly 8

Northwestern: 6.5 (under -150)

Ohio State: 11 (under -140) I would stay away. Most likely scenario is they go 11-1. If the one is to the wrong team they don't make the BTCG and it's a push.

Penn State: 7.5 (over -1) they made a bowl last year with a very good qb having a terrible year.

Purdue: 4 (over -145)

Rutgers: 5 (over -145, under +105) I think they hit exactly 5

Wisconsin: 10 (under -210) but they could still make the BTCG
You are welcome

Once again...no respect for the Gophs. But that's OK...we relish the Underdog role. I think we get a solid 8 with the possibilities of 9 if we don't lose to a team we are supposed to beat (like Illinois last year) and possibly 10 if we can get over the Wisconsin hump.

I believe most pre season national predictions had the Gophers in that 5-6 win range each of the last two years, as well. Perceptions often take time to change, especially in college football where "safe" predictions are often based on past glory.

Not a lot of bets that I really, really like, but the Gophers over 5.5 wins is one of them. It should be 6.5.
