My Gophers Offseason grade of F-minus isn't based on the players we brought in, per say. I'm holding out a sliver of hope that we can be good once in a while with an all-seniors plan.
My grade is based on what we lost. Recruiting has lost all meaning. It used to be the most fun thing to follow...but now it makes absolutely no difference if we get a top recruit or not. Because as soon as he's good, he's an unrestricted free agent...and we're a minor-league-budget team. And we always will be. We're never going to pay like the big-paying schools. So the hope that a new coach can turn us around has also gone out the window too.
