Most big name coaches were unknown at sometime on their way up. They become "big name" at a certain point at a certain school. It seems a lot of us wanted a big name and that is what I first wanted also. Some big names get bigger and some fall back to the pack.
How do we know that we do not have a big name on the way up. We may very well have someone who builds the program from the ground up. It is all about chance but it is also about your body of work. Coach Kill had won everywhere he has been. There is a pattern here and I believe that it is going to continue. I have a feeling we will be getting the jug, the axe, and the pig on a consistant basis.

It will be interesting to see if any of the big coaching names end up going anywhere at all. Miami, Pitt and probably Arizona State will have openings. I really think with the huge buyouts, tough economic times, and the difficulty of rebuilding programs....there maybe less big names interested in moving than we realize. I think the agents are throwing rumors out there to get their clients raises.
