Halftime Thoughts:

Pro: team defense still great.
Hart 1:1 defense I feel has been the best I’ve seen.
Braun and Battle

Con:
Broken record but no offense
0/5 free throw shooting
GG held scoreless

Only down 3

Game is winnable if we can make some shots
 






well if we could hit our FT's.. and that bench T looking huge as washington got 4 points on that possession..
 







Defense was horrendous that quarter. Double off a screen and no one helps and the screener gets an easy layup. Laying bricks at the other end and really bad turnovers and what you get is a 12 point lead for Washington.
 

3rd quarter thoughts:
Pro:
Braun trying to keep team in game.

Con:
Can’t shoot
Can’t mar Free throws
Can’t rebound
No movement

Lots of work to do
 




Typical Gopher game, not a Gimmie game but winnable but again failing in the brightest moments. Do we ever win on BTN?
 




We're not using our screens effectively. Players need to rub shoulders with the screener. They're leaving a huge space for the defender to easily get through.

Today they have been but we have as much talent. Can’t have all these offensive lapses and off games for your leading scorers. Previous posters have talked about our lack of a solid offensive scheme. Dawn P’s teams r stellar in D but our offense is not.
 


This team plays solid defense, and I like the way Coach P tries to work the referees. Whalen would have just sat there and ate a bag of chips. Things are looking up this season.
