Double T was just a bit before my time as an engaged fan. I certainly remember him and seeing him occasionally while he was with the Gophers, but almost exclusively on TV and not frequently. Limiting my vote to players who I saw play the majority of their games, I'd go with Vo Lenard.
Lenard is number two on my list.

Not if one of the choices listed by the OP is missing a data point because it didn’t exist when he played.

I went with the numbers available and I don't care about Gopher Holers' sentimentality over their past heroes. I'm not a sentimental sort of guy if that wasn't already obvious.

But he helped us beat Wisconsin at the Kohl Center so he gets a pass.
Are you thinking of Brock Stull? He hit two huge threes back to back in the 2nd half to beat the badgers at the Kohl Center in the 2018-2019 season

Alihan played on the 2019-2020 team. The Gophers didn’t beat the badgers on the road but we did beat them at home. In fact that home win is our last win against wisconsin which is both embarassing and depressing.

Both Mark Hall and Ray Williams were scorers - always found a way to get a bucket. Great players. But neither is what I would call an excellent shooter.
Mark Hall was superb with the ball but Ray Williams was sooo skilled at a much faster speed.
Both those guys were outstanding! Ray Williams on the break was worth any price of admission...something lightnin' quick and I don't believe what I just saw would happen every time on the break. Some guys are quick but not that many guys are fast and quick....Ray was and both were strong with the ball. Sooo dang fun!!!

The old school Gophers were so much better than guys from the last 10 to 15 years. Not even close. Jimmy Williams got us so many Top 10 in the (Jimmy Story) country players and so many over achievers. All the Musselman and Dutcher guys were recruited by Jimmy. His eye for talent was #1. Big guys: Olberding, Landsberger, McHale, Breuer, Jim Brewer, Mychal Thompson...the list goes on.
Guards all the guys in this thread (Tucker, Burton, Hall, Ray Williams, Flip etc) plus Leo Rautins was highly regarded....Osborne Lockhart, Daryl Mitchell ....so many guys!! DANG!!! Very fun times!

Best shooter: Trent Tucker.

Best Gopher: Ray Williams

Going way back, how good of shooters were Lou Hudson and Archie Clark?
They were good and both had great careers in the NBA. Lou Hudson had a beautiful jump shot and he could elevate as well. His nickname was sweet Lou, had a great NBA, when he retired from the NBA, he was the 12th leading scorer in the NBA history, scored 17,940 points. Played 13 seasons and shot .49% from the field 80% from the free throw line. Inducted into the college hall of fame.

Best shooter: Trent Tucker.

Best Gopher: Ray Williams
Retiring after the 1978–1979 season, Hudson scored 17,940 total points in 13 seasons (1966–1979). He averaged 20.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game in 890 games. He shot .489 from the field and .797 from the free throw line. He was the 12th all-time leading scorer in NBA History at the time of his retirement.[7][37] This was in the pros, did Tucker shoot that high of a percentage in college.

Hudson, who shot right handed, broke his right hand as a senior in 1965–1966 and missed seven games. He played in 17 games with the injury and led the Golden Gophers to a 14–10 record, averaging 19.8 points and 8.1 rebounds. He did this while shooting left-handed with his right hand in a cast.

Pretty good case for Lou Hudson to be best Gopher...then you have Kevin McHale. Top 50 or Top 100 All NBA Player on almost all lists. Criteria is a moving target.
Ray Williams and Bobby Jackson somewhere at the top of the list for most fun to watch play Gophers.

Perhaps but that wasn't the question. Blake Hoffarber was the #1 choice here. I suspect few, if any, of those who voted that way would say he was the "best Gopher ever."
The poll is asking who the best shooter is, which is different from the best scorer. They can be the same player, but often are not.

He shot 47% from the field over 3 years, but, his senior year, the last 15-17 games he shot left handed because he broke his right hand.

The problem here is that many people never saw Lou Hudson and Archie Clark play in the 60's. Lou averaged 47% FG% over 3 years, but his senior year, he missed seven games with a broken right had shot left handed over 17 games and still shot 47% his senior year. I believe most of you guys are talking about shooting the 3 point shot and only that. FG % takes in all types of shots.

Blake Hoffarber only shot FG 44% over four years at the U of M,
Trent Tucker shot FG .499% over four years at the U of M
Bobby Jackson shot FG .427% over two years at the U of M
Archie Clark shot FG .47% over three years at the U of M, by the way, he also played baseball at the U of M

Could not find stats on Ray Williams, Tucker appears to be the best pure shooter at 49.9%.
