Who is the best pure shooter in Gopher history?

Watching Cade Tyson drain shots against Texas Southern got me to wondering who is the best shooter Minnesota has ever had. You can choose from the poll or add someone not listed.
 

Tyson is only 3 for 16 from 3 against P4 opponents (Purdue, Indiana, Stanford and Missouri). Needs to hit more outside shots against the better opponents first.
 

I voted for TT, but nearly impossible to compare him to The Hoff since TT played before the three-point line in college was implemented. But to me, it's those two and then everyone else.

Wasn't Otto supposed to break Blake's records?!

Just a quick search says Mark Hall is probably the leader in the guard department. Above him are all big men. Recency bias probably affects this as records are not great from the 80s and 70s. My vote would go to Vo from my memories. I was in my 10s and early teens in the 70s.
 

Double T was just a bit before my time as an engaged fan. I certainly remember him and seeing him occasionally while he was with the Gophers, but almost exclusively on TV and not frequently. Limiting my vote to players who I saw play the majority of their games, I'd go with Vo Lenard.
 

going to be tough comp as so much depends on what you have around you for floor spacing. Willis was a great 3pt shooter recently, Hoffarber of course, Dre Hollins also would be on my list. Tyson is probably not going to have Big Ten shooting splits as he's basically #1 and 2 in terms of guys you have to cover on this team, vs others can put of higher percentages if you get to sit open and shoot spot up rhythm 3s (as we saw with way more space for Tyson against an awful Texas Southern team).

I'd probably go Hoffarber but some of that is my age and the years i've actually watched gopher hoops

also i assume op means 3pt shooter. There are some gopher greats who have also had a great mid game

I was just going to nominate Dre Hollins as well. So many of his makes were off the bounce. He was a little streaky, but he was a blast to watch shoot the ball.

Mark Hall RIP… 15 feet and in tough driving to the hoop..
 

I am remembering Ollie Shannon 69-70… bit research shows only low 40%s. Shot mostly from deep.
