My son & I are taking the Creative Charters trip. Sitting in Section U. Will wear maroon to bust the “Gold-Out@.
Be sure to wear just a T-shirt and shorts to psych out the Cal fans who will be bundled up in the frigid mid 60s temperatures. My son & I are taking the Creative Charters trip. Sitting in Section U. Will wear maroon to bust the “Gold-Out@.

I’ll be there. Staying with a college roommate who lives at the edge of campus. Wondering whether there is a bar that Gopher fans are gathering at before the game? Or will the Gophers have a hospitality tent, or some other facility for visiting Gopher fans?
Driving up from San Diego then renting bikes to go over The Bridge and through Sausalito to Tiburon. After the game, hiking and camping at Big Sur. We love San Francisco and have heard much about the expansion of the homeless population. Guess we will see for ourselves if the Union Square/Market Street area has really been trashed.
He looks like he's trying to find a pic-a-nic basket.Whoever's going be on the lookout for this guy...

Thanks!Official Gopher Pregame Tailgate Party @ Cal

Is it true that the Hayward Fault runs directly beneath the stadium? And if so, how many teams have been swallowed by the earth, never to be seen again? And further, how do you ensure that only visiting teams get annihilated?Cal alum and fan here. A few tips for those who’ve never been before:
There isn’t traditional tailgating. If your alumni association is doing something that will likely be as good as it gets. Otherwise try a local sports bar.
Avoid Greek Row.
Parking is a bitch, give yourself extra time and expect a walk to the stadium.
Make a stop at Top Dog.
Visitors section seating is usually in the SE corner. If you venture just a little north and stay higher up you’ll get the magnificent view of The City and bridges.
Anything else? Ask away.
Yes, that is true.Is it true that the Hayward Fault runs directly beneath the stadium? And if so, how many teams have been swallowed by the earth, never to be seen again? And further, how do you ensure that only visiting teams get annihilated?
I know that they have done some work on the stadium. Does the visiting team still have to climb that spooky stairway to get to the field on the SW side of the stadium? It was external and about a 4 story climb, gave me the creeps to look down there. Go Gophers! Is it true that the Hayward Fault runs directly beneath the stadium? That's our plan for sure.Take the BART to Berkeley and walk from there. Don’t drive—you can’t park.
How full does the stadium usually get? We got tickets through Cal, so not in the visitors section. In section E.Cal alum and fan here. A few tips for those who’ve never been before:

It can sell out or close for really big games (when we hosted Auburn 2 years ago, last year Miami and Stanford), but i'd imagine there will at least 5-10k empty this weekend. You should have no issues moving around to find your group if you're seated in different areas... Cal isn't particularly serious about people sitting in their assigned seats like some stadiumsHow full does the stadium usually get? We got tickets through Cal, so not in the visitors section. It will not sell out. My guess is 40-50K in a 63K capacity stadium. How full does the stadium usually get? We got tickets through Cal, so not in the visitors section. In section E.
