Benjamin Onwuzo decommits

I'm not saying you're wrong.

I just think that is how the "business" is, now, and that recruits understand it can be a bit "cut throat" at the top. Just like in the league. Recruits decommit all the time. Various reasons.

Yeah, I work in a business like that. Lying, cheating, manipulating, and spitefully using other people is the norm. I don't do those things, though. I think honor and morality are underrated. But business is good anyway, so no problem!

Are you aware of the divorce rate? It's already called a verbal commitment, people just say commitment to make it easier. Pretty clear to all involved that it isn't binding. College sports isn't the only context in which people don't keep their commitments.
That’s because the culture we live in now is a me first attitude. It seems people are always looking for the next best thing. It’s astonishing how many single mothers with multiple baby fathers is out there, I pray for humanity.

If he was squeezed when "they offered to gray-shit him" no wonder all of us think this just came out wrong.

In all seriousness though -- I am impressed that whenever kids decommit they always seem to do it in a very respectful manner under Fleck and share some Gopher love. I think it demonstrates the character of the people we are recruiting and the character of those are doing the recruiting.

Isn’t that just called corporate America?

Not in my experience. Some businesses are pretty cutthroat, but most of them are pretty tame.

Of course my experience is limited to...my experience. So, not all-encompassing.

Agree 100% with ya

Sounds like it was a grades issue, and they offered to gray-shit him.

Seems like they are making sure they aren't trying to squeeze kids in who might have academic issues.
Looooooolllllll!!!!

I just caught this. It’s because the damn board doesn’t “bleep” out the curse words any more!

It seems like Larkins and Onwuzo both got processed effectively. We have a bunch of uncommitted players coming this weekend, and we needed to lose a few if we are gonna sign any of them.

So our message to potential recruits is "Commit to Minnesota and come join the family" unless we find someone better a few weeks down the road?

Its not that they found someone better than these recruits specifically, it sounds like both got processed due to other issues. AKA, they didn't completely hold up their end of the bargin.

What do we know about this "Academy" (sounds prestigious, don't it!) down in Florida?
