Behind the Building of MN's 2021 Recruiting Class- Allen Trieu

This is an excellent write-up on this year's recruiting class. Not only was it great to learn about the players, but also interesting to see the different things they did to work around the pandemic.

In the summer, some of the Gopher commits and parents went down to Fort Lauderdale for a 4th of July Gopher Takeover. It served as a chance for the recruits and their parents to share a week together and build a bond in a time where it was difficult to do that.

The Kaliakmanis brothers, Jameson Geers and Mar’Keise Irving played in a 7-on-7 tournament together in Minnesota, another way to see each other and throw together in place of a football season and visits.

Cameron James still had not been to Minnesota, so he took a self-visit and stayed at Deven Eastern’s house.
