Old Miss upsets Becky. The skunks will have trouble with Mississippi quickness compounded by horrible shooting. Colorado shuts down Paul and no one picks up the slack. Richardson and Abrams go 2 -11 from arc.

I am gonna go out on a limb here and say bull$hit. I want the B1G Teams to win, until the Gophers meet Ohio State for the National Title.
 

I, like many, can't stand Ole Miss punk Marshall Henderson, but I look forward to him mocking the Grinch, Kramer and the Fresh Prince of Madison.

I can't stand that guy either but he's one of those players than can win a game almost on his own if he gets hot. I'm not saying it's going to happen but it can.

I'm ambivalent in my feeling to this guy. Sometimes that stuff is needed other times it isn't. Playing in the NCAA though, isn't the time its needed. I won't say anything about it happening or not to Wisconsin but it will continue to add to his gif collection I've seen thus far. Good work on finding the gifs.
 

I actually don't mind Marshall Henderson, which kind of weirds me out. I feel like he should bother me, but I think he's a fun player to watch. I don't get the impression that he's really personally bothering opponents (I could be wrong). Maybe it's just the classic moment of when those goofy Auburn fans were flicking him off.

Wisconsin is the better team. In fact, I actually think WI deserved an easier game 1 than Ole Miss. It should be a good game. I wonder how much the battle of styles (Bo Ryan vs. Marshall Henderson) had to do with the pairing. I hope he is practicing a grinch taunt.
 

I have no doubt that Bo Ryan will have a game plan for Henderson and his players will hit enough shots to survive and advance. I am more sure about the Illini losing. They really stunk against IU and the Gophers. Abrams, Bertrand, Griffey and Richardson are back to slumping and Colorado has an athletic guard named Roberson who can put the clamps on Paul.

I see the Big 10 going 7-1 in the first round.

I have the Gophers losing to the Gators.

I have MSU, Michigan, OSU and Miami making the final 4 with MSU beating Miami in the final.
 

I just felt that Henderson was going to have one of those games that will really get into Bo's
wheelhouse. The guy is a half a bubble off, but he is one of the best guards I've seen moving without the ball and getting his shot off mega quick. Bo is going to get a taste of his own medicine as Old Miss does a lot screening off the ball down low and swinging Henderson around from the baseline for the elbow jumper or the wing 3. If they decide to defend the Badgers, Bo and the skunks could be slinking back to Madison on the red eye.
 



 


Every now and then, I don't mind the cockiness and arrogance of a player like this, provided he can back it up. I was a big fan of D. Sanders as well. Case can be made that sports needs players like this.

He averaged 24 points a game in the SEC tournament when they HAD to win in order to make the Tournament. He shoots it at 88% from the FT line, including 19-of-21 in the SEC tournament. Sounds like money to me.

My guess is his shtick is to aggravate people to throw them off their game. Some people who can't control their emotions will get rattled by a player like this. It's not a horrible strategy, as long as your own teammates know what they're dealing with. In this case, it sounds like this is how he's always been, so no harm no foul. I'm guessing he gets his own teammates fired up as well, hard to say.

At any rate, the Ole Miss-Wisky game could be entertaining, which would be rare for a Wisky game.
 

Illinois could certainly lose in the first round. Wisconsin (while I would like to see it happen) will probably win at least one. Their tough defense and slow down game plan will keep them in every game. Tempo means everything in the tournament. There are many teams that simply won't be used to this style of play and it will affect them. This is one of the big reasons why I believe that the Gophers can make a run as well.

He's at his fourth school in four years. I'm not sure it's an act. Don't get me wrong though, the guy can play.
 

I can see Bo doing a " Woody Hayes" and punching Henderson if he starts taunting
Badger players and, or Bo.
 

It's always trendy to pick Bucky to lose in the NCCA. And while it looks like a tough game and as much as I want them to lose I do think they win .

The Badgers played 62 possessions a game this year and the Gophers 63. Tell you what, I can see why you all like that high flying Gophers squad. That extra possession a game makes for some scintillating basketball.

The Badgers can lose to anyone this year, as they proved by losing at Minnesota. That being said, Mississippi is the type of team that plays right into their hands. I expect the Badgers to win, but nothing would shock me. The good news is that they can beat anyone as well, which makes a nice little run not out of the question.

They win. If others don't like it, all the better. If Gophers fans hate the way the Badgers play while winning, it must be excruciating to watch the Gophers play at the same pace while racking up another losing record in the Big 10.

I get that the Gophers can't just win, they have to win the right way. That is a hell of a lot of pressure for the coach of the program.

This year for example if the Gophers won the Big 10 playing 63 possessions a game while the Badgers played 62, the Gophers would have been ripped by their own fans for being slow and boring.
 

Like hundreds of D-1 athletes, the trolls also amp up their performance during March Madness. No corner of the internet shall sling dirt on Bo Ryan without protest--IT'S TOURNEY TIME!
 

It pains me to say this, but I don't see Ole Miss keeping it within 15.
 

Oh, "THAT" Marshall Henderson.

I might even watch that game even though its Wisky.

I think you'll find our fans find plenty of reasons beyond the pace that we play at to bash and rip the teams, coaches, and players that we supposedly cheer for.

I suppose you're right, although I think I might prefer that to the whole "the Badgers are better than us, stop making fun of them," attitude that other posters have.

The difference is that's how Wisconsin wants to play, Minnesota's at their best when they can get out and run (Tubby's style doesn't mesh with the big ten) IMO the game plan other teams take in beating the gophers is to slow it down. Nebraska, NW, Illinois in the rematch and BTT did this, as did sparty in the rematch. My theory on why Minnesota upset the Hoosiers is because the gophers also like to get out and run and it's the same reason Tubby's teams do well in non conference tournaments. UCLA fits the gophers like a glove, they love to run, they're undersized and can't rebound.
