Still, there is a middle ground somewhere between the past and current states of things that everyone could have agreed on, had the NCAA been willing to budge from their my-way-or-the-highway mentality.True. But it wasn’t fixed. This was a money grab by the large schools. Pay for play keeps all but the most outstanding players in college longer and theoretically creates a better product and more revenue. They could care less about the lower level schools and barely care about non revenue athletes. We saw a good example of what they want in the final four with three outstanding games with good players and big money schools. Misssion accomplished. For now.
