Here is my list with odds. I'm going to base mine off potential cost and what I think the U is willing to actually pay when it get's down to it. If Sid or Nanne could pull some of these so "called wheels" or the big donors together which we seem to not really have a lot of after the stadium build and bad economy, I would think we would have a better shot at Mullen. This is opinion not fact but I think they come in at 1.8 million for the head coach to not offend Tubby. I would be willing this is how the final five get's whittled down to 2 and then it is cost, unless Belloti somehow shows up and want's to talk Turkey. You have to get the feeling this is about done. My pick is Golden but if the buyout cannot be worked out then it likely falls to the 2nd or 3rd guy. To me Mullen is the one that would be a home run hire, easily sold because he is the youngest rising star but the most unatainable.

Why is no one hearing about Jerry Kill? Maybe the best of the B coaches.
 

What about none of the above. I wonder if the person that acutally gets hired ends up not being on anybodies list.

You could probably make a ton betting against any of the favorites.

How can you have Golden as your favorite with his $2 mil buyout...Temple isn't going to reduce it and we aint gonna pay it...so he is out and I don't think was ever really considered...contrary to the rumor mill in MN...not one single article or mention has been made in Philly about Golden leaving for anywhere...the reporters aren't even asking him the question at his weekly press conference...I think Edsall has the inside track unless Mullen comes off his $5 mm requirement...then he is my first choice. That said...I still think we will all be shocked at who it is...when it is all said and done.
 




Jeff Jagodinzki...no. He has no interest in being a college football coach. He has no interest in recruiting. He was canned by BC for interviewing for the Jets job when he was told specifically he would be fired for doing that. He was fired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their OC during the preseason of his first year. He is now coaching in the UFL. No, No, No.
 

All long shots. Can't help but wonder if Maturi's main targets are active coaches going to bowls, hence a delay in any announcement. The suspicion that he has no one nailed down is beginning to creep into the media discussions. It would seem no retired or inactive coach is on the line because in such a case there would be little reason for delay.
 

I will take the field. I don't care what the odds are.
