Wonder if Ferentz would go the Alvarez route and slide into the AD role?

I would think they will go after Taylor from Kansas State was associate AD there before going to K-State. He can then force out Kirk and his kid and bring in his good buddy Chris Klieman who he hired at NDSU and K-State

Typically you have the outgoing AD do the firing so the new guy doesn’t have to start with that…

Klieman is from Iowa to boot.

However, ain't nobody "forcing out" Kirk Ferentz, short of a Tracy Claeys Twitter level foul up where they can scapegoat him. Maybe not even then.

Sooner or later, the Gophers are going to beat Iowa. That is what I care about. The pressure in Iowa is getting stronger. The Gophers will keep the pressure on. The row of the boat is getting louder.

Barta has taken a lot of fan criticism for not firing Ferentz Jr.
He has kept Jr. on but set a minimum of points scored by the IA offense next year for Jr to keep his job.
Will the new AD honor that, will the new AD ask Ferentz Sr to retire, who will be the new AD?
Lots of drama unfolding in the land of pig farms.

There is not even a remote chance that Iowa would ask Ferentz Sr. To retire. He’s their man down there and he will stay there as long as he wants. Now Ferentz Jr. is another story —if he doesn’t produce this year he could be gone for sure

I could see Ferentz Sr. retire before having to fire his son. That is how I could see him being “forced out”

The word in Iowa City is Barta was not asked to retire but retired on his own timeline. the odds on favorite to replace him is a black lady who was an associate A.D.

PJ’s nuts suck up into his body every year during the Iowa game. When that quits happening, we will beat them repeatedly.
