Badgers top KR in portal

University of Wisconsin redshirt freshman receiver Devin Chandler has entered the transfer portal.
He’s been the Badgers’ starting kick returner in each of their six games. Also, depth at WR.

Chandler’s biggest play for UW was his 59-yard kick return in the third quarter of the 2020 Duke’s Mayo Bowl, which jump-started the Badgers’ drive that tied the game at 21. UW went on to win 42-28.

Top KR but he is a WR who I'm guessing wants to catch some passes.

Only 4 WR's have caught a pass this year - Only 3 have caught more than 1 pass. The best WR has 18 catches. The WR's have caught less than 8 passes a game and record a combined total of less than 100 yards a game. Wisconsin has never been WR U, but those numbers are dreadful. Hard for a WR to feel like you have much opportunity there, even if you play. Especially with Mertz having 2 possibly 3 more years of eligibility.
