Shay Colley makes a surprising appearance against Purdue. She's played almost nine minutes thus far. She hasn't added much and the Boilers are up 24-16 halfway throught the second quarter.

For Purdue: Ae'Rianna Harris with 15 points, 7 blocks and 10 rebounds. McLaughlin 17 points.

For MSU: Shay Colley with 14 points and 5 rebounds.

The Boilers face Maryland next.

Rutgers finished off the Badgers 63-55. Arella Guirantes led the Scarlet Knights with 27 points.

OSU 28-11 over IA with 2 minutes to go in the 1st Q, then Doyle goes out of the game with back spasms. OSU shooting the lights out on 3s.

OSU 29-14 after 1Q. Doyle returns for IA. OSU had been up by 20 at one point in the 1st quarter.

OSU now ahead 48-31 at half. Eight 3s for OSU, Bell with 4 of them. Iowa is going to have a lot of trouble digging out of this hole.

OSU up 50-34 halfway through 3rd quarter and now Doyle comes down on a defender's foot and rolled her ankle.

73-44 after 3. Doyle back in game hobbling. OSU should be playing second string, save energy for the next game...but haven't so far.

OSU beats IA 87-66. IA never got close.
OSU beats Iowa by 21. OSU beats Minnesota by 21. Perhaps by some alternative logic, that means Minnesota is as good as Iowa?

Well, come to think about it, Iowa beat Minnesota by an average of 4.5 points. So I guess we’re almost as good as Iowa, anyway. Too bad “almost” doesn’t count for much.

I do think that OSU’s young team got better over the course of the season. Here’s hoping that our next-years young Gopher team will similarly be able to improve over the course of the 2020-21 season.

Ohio States length gave Iowa alot of trouble just like they did MN. Both teams really struggled to finish around the rim, both IA and MN were 9-25 from 3 against OSU too.

> ... kinda funny both IA and MN were 9-25 from 3 against OSU.

Yeah, that is a funny coincidence.

Only a bit less coincidental is that IA shot 13-38 from two, whereas MN shot a little worse at 11-37 from two.

What killed MN was their +11 extra turnovers and OSU’s +6 extra blocks. What killed IA was their -16 fewer (27-43) rebounds and OSU’s +4 extra blocks.

For IA, Meyer had 7 rebounds, Warnock had 4, Ollinger had 4, but Czinano was held to 4; while Juhasz had 17 rebounds, Sheldon had 5, and 3 players with 4. For MN, T. Bello had 10 rebounds, Sconiers had a rebounding party with 7, and both Powell and Hubbard had 6; while Juhasz had 16 rebounds, Patty had 8, and two others had 4 - but overall rebounds were tied at 45-45. While our three posts held their own on the boards, Juhasz out-rebounding Czinano (plus the Doyle injury) were the issue for IA.

The turnover issue that lost the game for MN was mostly on the guards.

Hoping for Indy vs Michigan final. Maryland vs OSU-meh, would like to see other programs break through, hopefully Gophers one day.
