Not sure if you were serious, but no he isn't always forcing it. He's just gotten worse at picking his shots as he's gone through this funk. Probably because he feels like he needs to shoot his way out of it.

His shot selection has always been pretty bad and when he is missing everything it really jumps out at you, he looked terrible against Penn State yesterday, not only did he miss most of his shots but they weren't even close, Mav forces the ball on some drives but his outside shot selection is pretty good, keep him off ball and Mav could help the team, he's hit a decent number of shots the last two games.
 

I agree that a hot Malik could carry this team in a few games that matter, but man I would rather see Dre hoisting up 15 shots a game right now. Find ways to get Dre open as he can't seem to shake guys with the dribble right now.
 

Do you think the fact that we've already played a game at Indy, got a feel for the arena, and got the nerves out already gives us an advantage to start this game. Hoping we can come out more composed and comfortable. Then again, the skunks are in the tourney no matter what.

Hopefully we get a solid combination of being settled in and comfortable because we won a win-or-go-home game yesterday on this court, but also hungrier than Wisconsin because we are fighting for our NCAA lives.
 


The important thing is, Gophers won the opening game against PSU in spite of not being at the top of our game. We want to win, which we did, when not at our best, and going into tonight's game, WE can be relaxed and have good reactions, while Wisky is playing their first tourney game. Wisky is -5 for the game, but I give it a pick 'em.

Yes. I am also hoping that since Dre didn't play big minutes that he'll be fresh and ready to score in bunches. Hopefully Mathieu is well conditioned cause he played nearly the entire 2nd half last night.
 

Keeping Mo out of foul trouble and feeding him early will be a huge key. He got in foul trouble and didn't even attempt a shot until the last 5 or 6 minutes of the game when we played them in Madison.

We need everyone to stay out of foul trouble. EE, Mo, and Lil Dre seem to always get themselves into trouble. We can't afford to have any of them pick up 2 quick fouls.
 



I thought I saw a little more spring in Dre Hollins yesterday, he drove to the basket and maintained body control through contact a couple of times, I hope the two days in a row doesn't set him back, he looks like he could be ready to explode.

King vs Dekker is not a good matchup.

If Dekker is on tonight we're in trouble. King and Buggs just aren't good defenders.

Andre is playing like **** again.

Nice turnover and foul... and inability to make a shot.
 


Mathieu just got hammered on that drive. Not going our way so far.
 



The Dre's need to pull their heads out of their ass.
