I'm not saying your take is right or wrong because I honestly don't have a strong opinion on this either way, but I think Durr already came out on Twitter to say he'd rather not risk his eligibility playing a Fall season that's likely to get cut short and therefore lead to less film. Sounded like he'd rather wait.
I guess one answer would be to play the fall season but give players who feel like Durr the option to opt-out and preserve their eligibility. That's messy as you're dealing with limited rosters this year and bloated rosters next year (once recruits and holdovers are factored in), but I guess there's no perfect answer in a season like this. Seems extremely unlikely the B1G reverses course at this point anyway, so all the arguing is pretty pointless. Perhaps it makes some feel better to vent, however, which I totally get and have no issue with.
