After opening the conference season by defeating Rutgers 66-64, Wisconsin spent almost two weeks atop the Big Ten standings. Then came game two and a stiff dose of reality. Indiana routed the Badgers in Bloomington 83-52 which was followed by a loss to boarder rival Minnesota 50-59. Those two losses spiraled into five more ending with a 60-91 debacle in Lincoln where the Huskers went 16-32 from beyond the arc. Now saddled with a 1-7 record as they ride into Dinkytown the Badger season may be beyond saving,
