Last season’s meeting between the Gophers and Huskers was a foul fest shootout with a glorious capper.
Jaz Shelley led Nebraska with 37 points (hitting 7-13 from three and 8-8 from the line. Mara Braun led Minnesota with 28 points (hitting 3-4 from three, 7-8 from the line plus grabbing 7 rebounds).
It was a bad loss for the Huskers who this Sunday afternoon visit Williams Arena sporting a 4-1 conference record with a loss to Indiana 69-91 and wins over @Michigan State 80-74, Maryland 87-81, @ Wisconsin 69-71 and Illinois 56-48.

Jaz Shelley the 5’9” grad student guard returned to lead the Huskers. In Big Ten play, the Aussie is averaging 10.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in 34 minutes per game. She is 11-36 from three.
There’s a lot of excitement in Husker land about the development of 6’3” junior center Alexis Markowski. She averages 16.2 points and 11.8 rebounds in 29.6 minutes per game. And you can’t ignore her from behind the line where she is 5-11.
Holding her own in the excitement sweepstakes is 6’2” freshman forward Natalie Potts a multiple B1G Freshman of the Week. The mobile Potts averages 12 points, 6 rebounds in 27.8 minutes. Thus far she is 0-11 from three.
Darian White is a 5’6” grad transfer from Montana State. The guard averages 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds in 27.5 minutes. She is 1-3 from three.
The final starter is Maddie Krull. The 5’9” senior guard averages 4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18,9 minutes. She is 4-11 from three.

Sophomore Callin Hake is averaging 7.6 points and 2 rebounds in 18.8 minutes. The 5’8” guard from Chanhassen is 8-16 from three.
6’0” freshman guard Logan Nissley averages 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 14.6 minutes. She is 8-18 from behind the arc.
