B1G Game 16: Gophers visit Purdue (2-19-25)

It seems like female athletes tend to recover slower from major surgeries like an ACL tear.
It looked like Holloway got her athleticism back this season after a cautious one last year (first year after surgery).
Woodson will probably show similar rust and caution next season.

Since the body structure of females (angle of hips through the knees) is more predisposed to have ACL tears, it may also affect their recovery time. It definitely depends on the athlete, and how bad the tear was. I have seen girls come back in 8 months, and I’ve seen others that took 15 months. One of my daughter’s high school teammates tore her ACL in January in basketball, and was back on the soccer field in August. However, she was back in surgery a few months later for a second tear on the same knee. So I would rather see them be cautious.
