B1G Game 16: Gophers Maryland (2-20-21)

Strande can be a nice player, maybe even play Diva's 3 position down the road or even this year, I'm not sure if Diva will be back for her 7th year :0. Strande will need to figure out the defensive game though, even if her foot speed isnt there today, she can get better with angles and using smarts. We have to get better defensively though to compete, hitting a basket or two here and there is fine, but not being able to defend on the other end is the real issue. kadi will need to be a lock down defender and Klarke will need to be a rim protector for us to move up in the the BIG next year.

Believe it would be Divas 6th year. Theres no doubt defense at all levels is an issue, but our interior defense has to get alot better, we give up way too many easy buckets in the paint. I'm curious if they plan on looking into the transfer market for a post player this offseason to address that or if they feel like the players on the roster + MIcheaux can take a big step.

The one good thing that is happening with this team now is the extended playing time that some of the younger players are getting which in the long run will make this much better by being deeper. Still need that more dominating presence in the middle both offensively and defensively.
