Gophers likely to face Ohio State in their first game of the UCLA Invitational. Gophers matchup well with the Buckeyes, who are a really solid team. A win over OSU seals a home hosting spot for the first round of the NCAA tourney. (Maybe that's already been secured, but better safe than sorry. ) Hard to say if the extra bye day will help the Gophers vs. OSU or whoever first round opponent is.

a few back and will never take anything the NCAA says at face value. Leave nothing to chance.
 

I wonder if Brenda Frese can coach her team into the championship game? Her teams always seem to rise to the occasion. Not cheering for it (unless we are magically there on the other side of the bracket).

I've been to lots of Big Ten tourney games. Those teams getting the double bye often come out flat on Friday. Confident Coach Dawn will keep that from happening!
 

This would have been awesome hosted at Target Center. Gophers and Iowa as top four seeds with UCLA and MN native Olivia Olson.
