AXS TV

For the B4A, NBC Sports is carrying 2 first round games (not the Gophers/Duke game), both semi finals and I think the finals. We just got the shaft.

Shocking to me that they would put Duke on this crummy network.

Well, if I can't watch it on firstrow, will I be able to get audio from client?

If I can't at least listen to the *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#ing game, I will eat the turkey without dressing it, and I am allergic to the gobble.

Uh...830?

I'm going to have a hard time convincing my in-laws to watch any sort of basketball. They are a die hard hockey family and will most likely be watching the NFL all day.

I may have to record it and avoid my phone until I get home!

Most sports bars or restaurants with televisions have directv, therefore they will be, or you can request having the gopher game on.

But who is going to be open on Thanksgiving? Maybe some family owned place, but I'm willing to bet all of the decent sports bars will be closed.

It's too bad Minnesota isn't covered by ATT Uverse. If you live outside of MN and are looking to watch the game, I would recommend Uverse for your cable network. Great service, awesome HD and all the channels you need. AXS on Uverse is 1106. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I don't have time to reread this. I am traveling to Chicago. What channel is AXS there? I believe it is Comcast. Please tell me it is available.

Available on channel 291 on Xfinity, if the person has the digital preferred or higher tier.

So my Dad gets AXS but he isn't real thrilled with the idea of me skipping Thanksgiving dinner to watch the Gophers. Anyone know where I can stream this on a tablet or phone? Otherwise I will be on Gamecast. Granted I "watched" the Gophers vs. Indiana game when Hoffarber hit the winner in the B10 Tournament so maybe I should go with that method?

Just got off the phone with Travis from Comcast and those of us in the Woodbury area will not be watching the game on cable TV. He also said there are no plans to show the game on any alternative stations in the markets that do not get AXS. Some markets in the Twins Cities may get AXS so you will want to check the AXS.TV web site or call Comcast.

For some reason I don't have NBC Sports on my DirecTV package.

Isn't it true that with DirecTV I can upgrade my package for a day and switch back, paying just a pro rated fee?

As if I couldn't hate Comcast any more they happen to not carry AXS in the Brooklyn Park area. They do in St. Louis Park, but not 20 f-ing miles north. Who are these guys?

Looks like I get to bust out the old boombox for some AM-1500 action.

Just got off the phone with Charter. AXS is on a different tier. I think the name of it is ULTRA VIEW HD. The channels are; AXS, Smithsonian, Velocity,Paladiam, Universal and HD2(? or something like that).

Anyway the cost is $5 per month and is pro-rated daily. I've had the Smithsonian channel before and I like it, so for $5 I might just pick it up and keep it. Asked about Rochester and she said it is pretty much the same in all location. Oh, and this is a HD tier only. Must have a HD box. HD TV also I would imagine.

Charter phone # 1-877-286-4659

Thanks!

AXS is the old HDNet channel. I know I had it on Comcast in SLP. I now have Dish (ten times better and half the price) Have both channels. AXS I think is channel 131 for Dish.

If anybody with DirecTV would be willing to share their account login with me so I can stream the Duke game, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm traveling out of the country so don't think I will be able to find a sports bar that gets AXS (although I will be trying). Please send me a private message if you're able to help. Thank you in advance.

If either of these ways don't work for you, you should be able to find a stream on firstrowsports.com and go under the basketball tab. Not the best quality, but at least you can watch the game.

Actually, the links already up.

Time Warner does not carry AXS on any level, that I can find. Last time I tried firstrow it took me a week to get rid of the porn pop-ups. I eventually uninstalled the plug-ins. I guess I will go back to firstrow.

AXSTV Channel info:

DirecTV: 340
Dish Network: 362
Comcast (Mpls): 420 & 875 (HD ONLY)
Comcast (St. Paul): 268 & 875 (HD ONLY)

Those are the only ones I know about so far -- I don't know anything about Charter/Time Warner/all these other operators.
