Loved how Austin played tonight. He is a defensive stud and a great all around player.

He's definitely a coach's kid. What seems to set him apart from every other "coach's kid" in college basketball is that he actually has the body to put the fundamentals to use. He's long, quick, and seemingly smart as a whip. It has been obvious for a while that he'd be a key to the team's success, and I'm glad he's finally showing what he can do.

Other than maybe Andre, I'd say he's the number 1 player we can't afford to lose to injury.

Behind Rodney and Trevor also.

No way. Our front court is loaded. We don't have another player like Austin. He can both shoot and get to the hoop, we don't have many guys like that. Not to mention he's arguably our best lockdown defender. I love Rodney and Trevor but they are very similar players, we could lose one of the for a stretch and be fine with Mo, EE, and Ingram.

ingram had a rough night tonight. he had 2-3 turnovers on consecutive offensive series. hope he bounces back vs duke with solid minutes and 0 turnovers

The lineup we saw tonight will probably be what we see vs Duke, with the possibility of more Mo, if we can get 10-15 out of Mo and EE and everyone else plays the same amount we should be alright

My indispensable order:
Rodney Williams
Austin Hollins
Dre Hollins
Mbakwe

Austin Hollins is far and away our go to guy when in need of a three ball. He has been on fire the last few games. It's good to see him stroking with so much confidence.

He's not like Andre who can just pull up and drain a jumper, or create his own shot off the dribble. However, he is a great catch and shoot player.

I don't really want to compare players because we have a number of them that we can't afford to lose. However, the key to this team is Andre Hollins. In the first half he was ordinary at best. In the second half he was terrific. When he plays like he did in the second half we will be very hard to beat. In the second half he found the confidence that he has been missing up to tonight. When that happened- they all got better.

I spent some time tonight just watching Austin play D on the little guy. Anthony had a huge quickness advantage, but Austin basically shut him down with positioning, reading and anticipation. And he spent his leisure time getting in everyone else's passing lanes. A borderline amazing player.

Agree with bga1 - Dre has to be the guy for this team to be very good....

Richmond's leading scorer averaging 20 ppg scored 2 points tonight. I believe Austin was guarding him most of the night. Great job by Austin.

Yeah, I was at the game and just re-watched the last 10 minutes. Andre turned that game around. The best thing about it is that it wasn't just one thing (e.g., making a bunch of threes). Hustle, driving, dishing, diving, threes, drive and shoot, drive and dish.

That said, I do enjoy watching Austin play. He is reminding me of Quincy Lewis more-and-more. He has been absolutely terrific so far this year on defense. And his scoring has been consistent.

Also, I agree that there are several players that are "critical."

Austin is the best all around player on the team by far, but he is not our most important player by far. That is Dre.

We can lose any player on the team & still be a B1G challenger or make a serious run in the tourney, except Dre. Lose EE, Mo, Rodney, Trevor, Ingram, Joe, Oto, Welch, Mav, no problem we have the depth to overcome. We lose Dre and we're a borderline tourney team. We can't beat top teams with Welch & Mav at the point.

* btw, the more I watch Austin the more I'm coming to think he's pretty indispensable also.
