Missing mom too. Let's see where he ends up.This is why we need to step up in the NIL world! Guys can have a lot of reasons to transfer and I wish him the best. That being said, NIL could have been a factor.
Yup, this one stings. It's now in my top 3 painful transfers:shoot. I know Ryan Burns was really high on Booker's potential earlier this year before the injury.
Gophers need pass rushers in the worst way.
The free transfer is a very good thing for players. With 85 scholarship players a lot of them will look for better opportunities for playing time. The other transfers haven't bothered me much, but this one is a little frustrating.
Bingo. Danny and Jah have all-league talent.Bummer. With Striggow and Joyner at the same spot it’s tough competition.
And Danny and Jah are underclassmen. Might be a long wait for Austin to see substantial playing time.Bingo. Danny and Jah have all-league talent.

Wonder if he's going closer to home for Purdue or IU? I guess an NIL offer elsewhere is a possibility based on his HS film, but he's not done much here yet. I was confident that would change next year, but I could be wrong.
- Bucky Irving
- MJ Anderson
- Austin Booker
I see MJ is leaving Iowa State for the NFL. Can’t believe that any NFL team wouldn’t research him before signing him.
Lol the nfl don’t give a shit what you’ve done. If he can play the nfl will have him.I see MJ is leaving Iowa State for the NFL. Can’t believe that any NFL team wouldn’t research him before signing him.
Injuries can change the trajectory of a once-promising career. Another player can jump ahead of the depth chart.
Typically guys don’t have a ton of options if they haven’t seen the field. I wouldn’t expect Booker to have a long list of P5 suitors like he did in high school. Will Booker head back home and play for Indiana and the DL coach who recruited him?

Not being sarcastic, but how does this work? Have there been that many injuries that 8 guys have all started this year? Or is this saying that the 2 deep rotation are all starters? The staff is excited to return 7 of their 8 starters on the DL from this year and add Smith, Schuster, Eastern and Schwarz to the mix.

He’s not any younger than Joyner and Striggow. I just can’t see P5 schools flocking to sign the third stringer from the gophers. Guess we’ll see.I would agree if he was an upperclassmen, but he's only a RS FR and needed to fill out.

My bad. He’s still 2 years away from when every team was looking at him. Unless a player produces in college they’ll basically always have a smaller offer list than when they came out of high school. He's a year younger than both, and Joyner played about as much last season as Booker did this season. Striggow was mainly a special teamer last season.
I have a hard time believing that a reserve player with 6 career games played left thinking he's going to get NIL money elsewhere. This is why we need to step up in the NIL world! Guys can have a lot of reasons to transfer and I wish him the best. That being said, NIL could have been a factor.
