So, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I saw a man and his wife/girlfriend in section 231 both get handcuffed and hauled off by police because they caught them with a FLASK?! Please tell me there was more to it than that.

I didn''t see it but, my speculation would be that they were underaged drinkers??? I would think if they were over 21, that the booze would just have gotten taken away and they might have been escorted out from the game, not arrested.

Were they wearing black and yellow? Maybe they were riding the hobby-horse in the bathroom... I'm just saying.

Gotta be more than just a flask. The guy down the row from me got busted last year, I think they either took it away, or made him leave. He was back last year and he's back this year.

I thought everybody knew drinks were to be mixed in toilet stalls.

Never trust anybody walking into the bathroom with a full Coke!

A flask? Amateurs. I know of people who sneak a liquor store worth of the 200ml bottles of booze in.

Especially that they are not patting down now.....

My favorite part from entering Saturday is that they didn't pat me down, but they made me take off my hat to make sure I wasn't concealing anything underneath

We had someone in section 103 escorted out by security, with the security guard holding the guy's bottle of liquor. He was not handcuffed, however.

I was sitting right there and saw the whole thing. They did not need to be cuffed! Cops way over did it. They did not deserve it. Yes they did bring in a flask. But if they are of age, what law did they break? Honestly? Yes I know drinking is not allowed but to be hand cuffed? Really? They did not needed to be cuffed. They were not from IOWA! Can someone expand the "law/rules" of a situation? I sat by them last year and they are good fans. They didn't deserve this. I think someone "narked". Too bad.

God forbid you smuggle a full head of hair in to the game, eh??

I always bring a flask to the game, worse thats happened to me was they confiscated it and escorted me out.

There's a lot of narcs in my section. You gotta be sneaky if you want to stay.

Ha. They made me lift my hat up too! I had a "camera" in my jacket pocket bulging away from my side and they didn't care about that, just my hair.

Do fans seriously tell on other fans for enjoying a drink in TCF? What section are you in Bo?

Are the narcs jealous that they didn't bring anything along to make watching this team at least somewhat enjoyable?

If the drinkers are not throwing up or behaving poorly, Gopher fans shouldn't do anything to get each other kicked out at the Bank cheering on the Gophers.

????

does this mean there isn't some entrepenaur who sews a bunch of pockets inside a trench coat who provides moderately overpriced bottles right there? Ah, I remember the 70s, hard to walk out of the bleachers without falling on the thousands of empty bottles and a few unmoving bodies that you helped drag outside Memorial Stadium.

The whole no alcohol thing still boggles my mind, one they could fund at least 1 minor sport completely if not more just on beer sales, two i understand they dont want students drinking, but honestly if the kids dont get drunk during the game theyre going to do it anyway before or after, if youre worried about safety wouldnt it be better to have it go on in a semi controlled environment instead of some back alley/dorm? thats precisely the reason why wisconsin has the parents can give you alcohol underage legally law. Third if theyre worried about rowdy fans or drunk fans throwing up all over, refer to number 2 and also the instance of th guy vomiting all over at the game saturday.

Yes they do nark on fellow Gopher fans. Two guys behind us got kicked out last year because they had each brought in ONE can of beer. An older guy behind them comes walking back with security and pointed them out, didn't see them again.

Obviously the police wanted to leave the debacle happening before their eyes and saw those 2 people as a perfect excuse

All together TCF Bank Stadium has been a letdown. Not the building but the way everything is ran.

Sad to say but I really miss having a smoking area, and I dont even smoke. Many of the friends I usually went to Gopher games with are smokers. After awhile of going out with them while they had a smoke I began to go out every game, not to smoke but to BS with fellow fans and make the halftime go by quicker.

Now most of the same friends dont go to the games because they cant smoke and my tradition is over. One of the my buddys had season tickets for 6 years, went to the first two games and decided to sell the rest of his tickets, didnt renew. All of this because there is nowhere to smoke. Sad when smoking can consume a person but damn its making it hard for me to get someone to go let alone pay face for one of my seats. I am tired of hearing "you cant even smoke there."

I wont even start on concessions, I vow to not spend one penny inside the stadium until they get registers.

I sit lower level and bring a flask to almost every game. Mix discreetly at my seat. Have had 2 guys in front of us with Hieneken bottles and 2 Illini students with a Qt. of Hot 100. (one didn't see much after the 1st Qtr.)

I make friends or at least say Hi and share TD fun with my close seat mates. Makes life better. Even the lady behind me who is NEVER happy.

Be careful and keep your head up.

also, would you rather have students/people paying for beer or taking swigs of hard liqour.seems like they are unintentionally encouraging binge drinking

Does anyone know what the "policy" is regarding this type of situation? Did the cops over do it with the hand cuffing? Is there anything stating penalties about drinking at TCF either online or at the stadium? Thanks in advance.

Yeah if I find the Narks in 231 I will embarrass you to no end!!! Bunch of crap!.
