Around the B1G West...

I cheated, and looked. It’s the name I would have guessed anyway.

Not a ton of options for second year breakout players, the one they picked for us is the one I figured it would be.

Don't really know enough about the rest of the teams in the conference to come up with names for each of them.

Nubin is the obvious choice, he's the only non-specialist who didn't redshirt last season.

Outside of Nubin, I like James Gordon at LB.

If Nubin can help replace Winfield that would go a long way towards repeating the success of last season.

The one other name that came to mind as a possibility to me was Wiley.

Off this topic, but when can the Gopher start their summer workouts. I see the other West colleges are starting June 1 or the 8.

Chris Autman-Bell would have my vote

Hope one of our second year d-line shines through. Know a few came in with a lot of expectations. My guess if one of them has a breakthrough year it will be the difference between a Big West championship or just a "good" season.

Agreed, all the question marks are on defense this year... another good season and the stock will be elevated to new heights...

Cheney a potential breakout guy in 2020? Seems to be a lot of upside on the DLine. Excited to see what D’Angelo Carter can do coming off a redshirt season, remember there being a good amount of buzz around him when he signed.

Offense is loaded, if we can get good play from the defense its going to be a big year.

Surprise surprise. Gopher Defense will surprise! We've been loading up the last couple of cycles.

Crossover games are Maryland, Michigan and Michigan State. We should beat Sparty and the Terps easy. Michigan is at home, and I'm not sure they are that good. The way they play man across on defense Bateman may go for 200.

Out of conference is against BYU, Tenn Tech and FAU all at home all winnable games.

We get Iowa at home to get some revenge. DO have to go to Whisky but we can win there and will be fired up for that one no matter what.

This is a good synopsis. FAU could be an early test, like SDSU last season. And BYU, with their team of 24 year olds, is always going to be a touch, P5-like match. Tenn Tech is the only true warm-up game there.

Agree that Maryland and Mich St "should be" wins. Really hoping for home wins against Iowa and Michigan. That would be great!

BYU not as old as a lot of people think.

Oh man someone please.

A great QB.... I would have never thought of it.

Now can we have a great DL (or couple guies) who shines through every game / makes the other team adjust?

Nebraska loses another 4 star from their 2020 class....

God I hope Nebraska goes less than .500, either this year if we have it, or next year.

For Scott Frost to fail so badly, would have to finally give Husker fans a clue that ... it's over. That they're never, ever going to be like it was before, again.
