I know the U just retired 2 men's basketball players (Trent Tucker and Skoog) which would make 6 total (McHale, Thompson, Brewer, Hudson).
I believe the Women's basketball also has 6 retired players (numbers).
Now how can this be? Neither of these teams has had even close the success of the U of M football team. 6 National Championships and only 4 retired players?
So in saying that I have noticed in the locker room how they put all the numbers and players up above the lockers....and in the area where they show Giel, Bronko, Stephens, and Smith they are also showing a picture of Tom Brown.
So are they going to be retiring his number this year? It also appears there is an opening that would balance out the numbers they put up in the stadium.
So in saying that I believe they could probably do 2-3 more players.
