Anyone heard from Sam Maresh lately?.......

Wasn't another criticism that he always seemed to be goofing around on the sideline? I remember hearing people complain about that on a few occasions.

I certainly will not say fighting is a good thing, however many players acrooss then nation get in countless fights for whatever stupid reason. Seems to be the norm for college football players, I guess.

If you want to read something hilarious, check out the "fulmer cup scoreboard." They keep track of all fights, arrests, citations, pot possession, DUI's, thefts, etc. It is what it is.

It's not just limited to athletes. Wherever alcohol is served on a college campus there's bound to be at lesat two knuckleheads who duke it out. No matter who you are, it's dumb to get into a fight, because you really don't know who you're dealing with. Unless the person is small and slow and you're big and fast.

Please define goofing around? Just curious. Thanks.

Maybe you should get your facts straight. These are just a small sampling of the 800+ articles to be found on the subject.

And if you try to say that "resisting arrest" and "fighting a cop" are not the same thing, then you're an even bigger idiot than I thought.

Oh, wait...I suppose the big, bad, dirty police officers made the whole thing up, right?

To sum up nobody really knows what going on with Maresh.

It's also good to have Carter back as a Gopher and why would in the world would any Gopher or Carter fan want to see him dragged through the mud again?

It certainly looked like Brewster had him pay for his mistake through limiting his playing time after the incident.

Leave the kid alone.

Do you have any idea what the charge would of been if he would of fought a cop?????????????????????? You are wrong admit it.

Yes I'm white, yes I'm from Minnesota, and I guess you could call 18 old? But what's you point with pointing those out? I never said anything about Carter and you went all Art on me and grouped me in a category of fans I had no connection with? Yeah Sam got into a fight, but like others have said, what 20 year old hasn't before? No need to go all F.O.T. on me and throw the race card.

SOME PEOPLE WON'T BELIEVE WHAT THEIR OWN EYES SEE....BREW RECRUIT SEEMS TO BE ONE OF THOSE IDIOTS

Well, Watkins complied with everything the officers asked, but Carter was not friendly. It seems Michael really wanted to fight on Sunday night, and since the two random strangers in the parking lot weren’t interested, he just went with the cops. So Michael refused to put his arms against the wall when told, and when the officer tried to grab his arm Carter spun around as if he was going to attack the cop.

Which — and I want you kids to listen closely here — is never a good idea. Instead the cops wrestled Carter to the ground where he kept fighting them despite a bunch of other Gophers football players who came out of Mesa Pizza and yelled at him to stop.

After finally getting control of Carter they gave him a blood-alcohol test and he registered at a 0.055. Which isn’t even legally drunk. You could legally drive a vehicle with that much alcohol in your system, yet Carter was drunk enough to think fighting the police was a good idea.

Like I said, this is just stuff I remember reading. People asked what other attitude problems he had, so I suggested that maybe that's what others were referencing. I don't watch the sidelines, so I have no idea if it's true, nor did I say it was.

If you are under 21, there is zero tolerance. Register anything on a BAT, you are afoul of the law.

Maresh gets in one fight and he "needs to start taking life seriously"??? It was one fight, those of us who grew up in Champlin and wrestled(my brother wrestled for Maresh from 94-97) know that the Maresh's don't take $hit from nobody, and we need more guys on the team with winning mentalities like that.
I am fine with saying a kid getting into a fight isn't necessarily a big deal but this is hilarious.

This is coming from the same group of fans who wanted Carters head when he got slammed by that rent a cop aka umpd. Typical old white MN fans.

And you're the one always complaining about racist comments?

How old are you by the way? I'm guessing 15.

Hopefully Marsh learns from .....

watching Kevin Whaley on what not to do.
