Felt like the ladies started out pretty slowly, but a lot of that had to do with a really aggressive forecheck Boston College in the opening minutes.

But, like the North Dakota game, I also felt like the ladies began to take control of the game more and more as things wore on. Kudos to BC for rallying back to force overtime on that goal in the final five minutes. Glad this one didn't go 115+ minutes like the North Dakota game did.

With all that out of the way: CONGRATS LADIES!!!! 48 straight!? 40-0 on the season!? And a chance at back-to-back titles!? Gopher fans will take that ANYTIME!!

It was a great game and fantastic atmosphere tonight at Ridder. Very fun time to be at the game with my daughter and cheer on the Gophers! We'll be back on Sunday to cheer on a National Championship!

Haven't seen anyone post about this yet, but I figured I'd break the silence.

Amanda Kessel has won the 2013 Patty Kazmaier award as the top collegiate women's hockey player for the 2012-2013 season!

The only other Gopher to win it was Krissy Wendell in 2005.

Congrats Amanda and good luck on Sunday!!!!
