<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Update with preliminary <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Gophers?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Gophers</a>-N&#39;Western TV ratings locally: We saw a dip from PSU + Iowa games with an overall 13.4 rating. The peak came 12:15-12:30 with a 15.1. My hunch even with this holiday weekend approaching, and a home game, that Gophers-Badgers will do a huge number. <a href="https://t.co/aUJ0PbheuS">https://t.co/aUJ0PbheuS</a></p>&mdash; Darren Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) <a href="">November 25, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

What does a holiday weekend have to do with anything. Thanksgiving is the most overrated holiday there is.

Wrong on that one. Food + Football + Drinking all day makes for an amazing holiday.

Halloween is the most over rated, people start freaking out about it in July, and they are adults who can wear a costume and eat candy whenever they want.

For one, it can throw the ratings off, with people watching at a relative's house etc.

Yes...Thanksgiving is my favorite. Fat white guy who loves turkey, gravy, mashed taters, football and beer and bourbon. How is Thanksgiving not everyone's favorite holiday is my question?

I could see a good argument for 4th of July as well. Grilling out, good weather, late sun set and fireworks are all fun.

Gotta disagree with you there. Halloween is the best in MN for weather alone. October is perfect. And it finally gets all the regular folks on my level in terms of horror movie fandom.

Lately I’ve been all in on Labor Day for similar reasons as above. Plus, lately we’ve had the Gophers open up on Thursday and I’ll take Friday off work and go to the state fair with the family! It’s a great extended weekend opportunity + gopher football
