Do u guys think we can get Amir watts over Pitt, Iowa state and whoever else I forgot but he's got rated a 4 star and we need him he's a great DE

With Watts it sounds like anything could happen, but there is also a good chance he comes to the Gophers. And totally agree on his skill. He's a heck of a player!

You start a lot of threads that are all being discussed in the various recruiting threads. No one knows other than Amir Watts or any other recruit what their decisions will be. I'd say let it play out and see what happens on signing day.

Badger fans don't get to complain about threads

I think he is expected to be a DT. I think our chance is as good as any but won't be surprised if he goes elsewhere.

Meh.

It's a pretty slow time of the year for college football. This board would be pretty dead without recruiting chatter.

Haha I figured that. I try not to intrude or troll, but seems like everything he posts is a new thread about recruits being talked about at length in other threads.

Fair enough.

Just wanna know how much chance we have to get these recruits to know what to expect come signing day

Agreed

How about a Gopher fan complaining? :)

Definitely agree. I enjoy the recruiting info coming in. What I like even more, when it's consolidated into a central location like an 'all things recruiting' thread ;)

Still agree. While I enjoy good discussion, we have centralized 'all things 201X recruiting', 'all things Snelson', 'all things Coughlin', etc. which are still on point (amazingly). It's nice having info in 1 spot instead of having to jump around a bunch of threads to find a nugget of info. Fully understand if something big happens, new threads will be created but here's the threads he's created recently:

Amir Watts
Dwayne Haskins affect on Snelson
Projected 2016 class
Biggest needs/Targets
Rhashaun Epting
Last month of recruiting

Not trying to bash ya too hard skiumah77 - I like the questions and getting some discussion going.

I hope we get Watts. Kid's got Talent with a capital T.

Go Gophers!!

Ouch, this stinks, I didn't see him picking Pitt.

When Pitt beats us out for a Chicago kid who was a great need for us, there is something wrong in Gopherville.

You're totally right. I mean, WHAT has Pat Narduzzi ever done for a college DE. There are just as many reasons for a Chicago kid to pick Pitt as there are for a Chicago kid to pick Minnesota. Would have liked to have seen him here, but wish him well. Just stop with the hyperbole.

Why do you think that? Pitt plays in a power 5 conference, this is not like getting beat out by a MAC school for the kid. And as for the Chicago part a quick look at Google maps will tell you that Chicago is basically right in the middle of Minneapolis and Pittsburgh in terms of distance.

Well, one big difference is that virtually every B1G game would be driving distance for his family, and that's not the case at all with Pitt.

For whatever reason, Chicago kids seem to grow up with no preference for the B1G. Illinois basketball fans lament that all the time.

We can't get every kid I'm just thankful he didn't go to another B1G school.

We really needed Watts. This is a big time miss.
