The only possible slightly deciding factor other than money is if it's your home-state school.was listening to a podcast and it was "suggested" that NIL played a significant role in the final decision.
that is not an excuse. it's just a fact of life in college sports.
yes, there will be some recruits for whom money is not the deciding factor, and they would consider MN even if there is less NIL involved. but there will be other recruits where, if it's a 50/50 call, they're going to go with the school that offers more money. and that is not going to be MN.
that does not mean that the Gophers cannot be competitive. it just means that they have to approach things from a different perspective - get the players they can get and make the best of it.
...and Jarts!Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, Tony.
You mean schools are buying players?? Nooooo.......I would have never guessed.Check this out, not even a collective anymore, Tennessee is making it a direct part of Athletic Department.

Why did you sell it? This is a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.I sold our old family Jarts set for $50 recently. My 3 siblings made me Venmo them each $12.50, because, after all, it was our FAMILY Jart set when we were growing up!

Your are not wrong but I’ll pour one out for my ‘they remain close’ bit.We also need to remember recruiting has changed. Being close does matter as just because he didn't commit this year doesn't mean he won't next. When kids decide their current school isn't what they hoped, they look to where else they considered first.
That ain’t riott mate! You mean schools are buying players?? Nooooo.......I would have never guessed.
