As we sit here this morning, from a recruiting standpoint, the University of Minnesota has never been in a better position. PJ is on an absolute heater.
What did you have?Last night my wife and I had dinner at the Hi-Lo Club in Lakefield (hometown of Voss). If you are ever headed West toward Sioux Falls on 90, I highly recommend. About one mile off the interstate. I’m not a world traveler by any means but it was quite possibly the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. The world needs more Supper Clubs.
This is the question of the hour. What did you have?
14 Oz Ribeye, baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon and chives and some creamed corn. Everything was fantastic. What did you have?
I've been wanting to chuck that place out but when the Bergen Bar, just north of Jackson, is 25 minutes closer and is an absolute legendary steak (literally) house, it's impossible not to stop.14 Oz Ribeye, baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon and chives and some creamed corn. Everything was fantastic.
Glad to know that I'm not the only guy that finds creamed corn to be a premium side.14 Oz Ribeye, baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon and chives and some creamed corn. Everything was fantastic.
Yeah, that's one advantage we have with PJ. Another is the "life program".Seeing Bama lose on Saturday and some of the pressure the coach is going to be under, it was a top reason that coming to MN for Voss was a great decision. Stability is huge in our program right now.
If it takes you three hours to make this drive on I35 and I90, you're doing it wrong.
Go Gophers!!
Oh, so you know his departure point? If it takes you three hours to make this drive on I35 and I90, you're doing it wrong.
From the KSTP studio to Jackson, I'd say roughly three hours is right. Two hours to I-90 and an hour to Jackson. If it takes you three hours to make this drive on I35 and I90, you're doing it wrong.
Did I offend?Oh, so you know his departure point?
What if the person lives in, say Anoka, and left from home. It is perfectly reasonable to take about 3 hours to get there.Did I offend?
I've made the Twin Cities-Sioux Falls drive a hundred times.
I think maybe you're taking a silly comment more seriously than it deserves. What if the person lives in, say Anoka, and left from home. It is perfectly reasonable to take about 3 hours to get there.
And you are clearly taking a silly response more seriously than it deserves.I think maybe you're taking a silly comment more seriously than it deserves.
But yes, I could drive from Anoka to Jackson in less than three hours, even after stopping at Burger King in Fairmont for an original chicken sandwich. The kind that's made with a ground chicken patty, mayo, and shredded lettuce. I really think it's the best thing on Burger King's menu.
But I might not be strictly adhering to all speed ordinances at all times.
How many tickets?Did I offend?

Only one, but it was well deserved. How many tickets?![]()
Not that direction, but I got one on the way to Iowa City a while back. Thankfully, I think it's finally dropped off of my record. Cruise control next time.Only one, but it was well deserved.
Awesome stories!I think maybe you're taking a silly comment more seriously than it deserves.

Gotta be careful or those Ankeny cops will get you every time! Not that direction, but I got one on the way to Iowa City a while back. Thankfully, I think it's finally dropped off of my record. Cruise control next time.
Wearing Gopher gear did not help.Gotta be careful or those Ankeny cops will get you every time!
Well, if you were wearing iowa gear and going the speed limit, they should pull you over for a probably DUI.Wearing Gopher gear did not help.
True! Three cars with Iowa plates zoomed right past me. For the record the "but everyone else was driving faster" argument does not work.Well, if you were wearing iowa gear and going the speed limit, they should pull you over for a probably DUI.
There is some truth to the bolded. Every time I'm driving at night and I see someone strictly adhering to the speed limit whilst everyone else passes by at 5-10 mph over, it's pretty obvious who doesn't wanna take the breathalyzer.Well, if you were wearing iowa gear and going the speed limit, they should pull you over for a probably DUI.
