Looks like the Band got some new profile pics from the graphics department. Now they match all the other Athletics pages. Prior to this I think (don't quote me) the profile pictures were made by someone on the Band's social media team. Great to see more of a bridge forming between the Band and the Athletics department.

That was some quality piano playing in the rain during halftime.

It was great! I got to spend time with friends and family, see a Gopher Win, and march in the parade! My right calf is still recovering though, you don't realize how much in shape marching every day makes you until you try to do it for the first time since the end of the previous season!

It was implied last year when the Iowa Band appeared at TCF that it was a two year "agreement" that involved the Band being in Iowa City this year, allowing the Band to take a road trip to a Big Ten venue for the first time in 20 years.

This is not going to happen, so guess we are not "Elite". Maybe before I die I can see the Minnesota Band playing the Rouser again in a Big Ten city other than Minneapolis or even see a Rose Bowl. At this point I'll settle for either.

Note the bedlam on the field at the end of the linked video, a whole bunch of players on the field with Band members and a Goldy that is wearing a nice dinner jacket.

Unfortunately the band needs athletics to help foot the bill when traveling. In recent years athletics has been unwilling to help unless it's for a bowl game :/

What is the name of the song the band plays in pregame when they spin the block M and march toward the student section?
