its a place we're discussing all the transfers going around that realistically could (or should) be targets. idc about UST and have no idea how their roster looks for next year, but Musser was one we theoretically should've looked at

Only one year left so just another Motzko band-aid, but at least could be a solid 2C.

Pretty clear none of the top CHL guys will come (Lankovic is raw and might even be a year out if he were to get him), so Zetterberg and this kid might be the best we can hope for and then still unfortunately have to bring in both Nevers and Kvasnicka as well.

Or +Pritchard to delay either Nevers or Kvasnicka.

id be pretty shocked if howard isn't traded and signs. its been made pretty explicit he wanted to leave but the lightning fucked themselves with their cap.

kurth i don't really get leaving, particularly with it looking like Lamb is coming back unless the Lightning really pressed on wanting him to come in and said now or never (as in they wouldn't sign him next year if he came back)
 

Thinking about it a little more, if Motzko wants to manage the pipeline better next years lineup would be the following with four bolded pickups

Ludtke - Clark - Ziemer - MN line
Zetterberg - Pahlsson - Mooney - "Foreign" line
Hendo - Rickwood - Lamb - Middle sixers
Moore/Falloon - Townsend/JMitt - Pritchard/Nevers - Grinders

Mittelstadt - Thomas
Ashton - Gruba
Whipple - Rombach
Rud/Begley (UGH)

Push Kvasnicka and Phillips a year and dump Grimes and Reid.
 



Lukashevich (MSU, FL draft pick) to portal. word is maybe to Miami, which feels weird

The UND pickup seems like Isaac Gordon from MTU. But ya if they get both of those guys to go Midwest and Motzko misses on both... Typical sitting on his ass.

Exactly spot on about Howard. Tampa has no money for him ( as of now ). Kurth had a career year and Tampa needs players, so it makes sense that they or he wanted to sign. But of course, Mr Sunshine Bonin makes up some negative story of why Kurth would want to leave. Waiting for Mr Sunshine to bring out an old favorite about Bob more worried about his suit deal than coaching the Gophers.
 

Both Gordon and Rickwood are non-contact, so won't be Gophers. Back to the drawing board in need of both a 1C and a 2C (Rickwood could have been a solid 2C).
 

Carter Ashton to Cornell. In comes Phillips to get absolutely exposed as a true freshman.

problem was we still have Airey (and Bob hasn't wanted to move on there, which I think still seems to be fairish) but needed someone to come in next year to possibly start. This guy won't be starting next year. He otherwise certainly fits with having enough Jr games but he should be a disappointment to you as he is also undrafted. ;)

will be interesting to see if this kid ever starts as he'll battle with Heil next year and either Sandy or another portal guy given UNDs penchant for adding them.

The point is building a pipeline. They have both Heil and this kid with 4 years of eligibility on top of the ASU kid for the year.

Bob has two years left for both goalies, one of which is a pretty clear known average goalie at this point and NO ONE in the pipeline.
