Couple random ones so far of guys leaving early

Hutson (BU) signs with Washington

Gross (SCSU) signs with Calgary

Powell (ASU) signs with Philly

Knuble (Notre Dame) signs

Sounds like Eiserman (BU) also going to sign

That doesn't make me feel great about Ziemer staying as his two years might have been better than Eiserman's. Credit to him

He’s going to play ahl.
Buffalo did just sign McCarthy (BU dman who was their captain) as well

Been away from this for awhile. Some random notables

Martone (MSU)
Kotai (Augie)
Thompson (OSU)
Hagens (BC)
Fortescue (BC)
Minnetian (BC)
Hrabel (UMass)
Lundgren (Merrimack)

Reidler (PSU) signs

Missed this one but Nadeau (Maine) also signed

Wonder who will get the Howard/Martone paycheck. Dupont?

And the Augustine paycheck should be able to bring in a stud goalie.

ravensberger had committed to MSU though its no longer on his elite prospects page

they do also have Hextall, Klepov, and West all committed as well as Chase Reid so they may have spent quite a few of those dollars already

I assume Fink will go so PSU will lose their top three scorers. But looks like most everyone else will be back. So they'll use McKenna money and plug those three holes pretty easily along with returners upping production a bit.

Well see. Pegula finally has a sabers team that’s contending.

They lose a lot of veteran guys off this team. Wiebuschb is also a FA. Will be an interesting offseason over at psu

1MM is 0.01% of his net worth. His investments probably make that back in a day.
by that logic, he can buy all the players but chose not to and they missed on numerous guys rumored to be considering PSU. Yes he'll keep donating. It doesn't mean they're all just going to PSU unless he starts handing out million dollar contracts everywhere.

Maybe he'll keep chasing until they win one because why not, but I don't think this is just a simple retool given you also need guys who are going to stay for 3-4 years and/or come in later and they lose a chunk of those this year

Maybe I am late to the party, but did Mercyhurst's entire team go into the portal? If so, wht happened?

Is the portal actually open for Gophers? Or is that just for coaching changes after the April 13-28 window?

yes it is open.

When there'a coaching change at a program, the players on that team will be allowed to enter the transfer portal for an additional 15-day period, beginning five days after the new head coach is announced. It will also open for 15 days if a new head coach is not announced within 30 days, provided the 31st day starts after the NCAA championship game.

Given it's outside the window, they could enter the portal given it is now 5 days past the new coach being announced

Then Rud, Begley, Harris, and Airey should be in there any minute. Maybe Gruba and McLaughlin shortly thereafter.

I don't really understand how this kid entered the portal.

Third rounder. Likely a solid contributor over his remaining three years in a middle six role at a big team.

just got removed from the portal it looks like (at least the tracker on GPL)

Fink has supposedly signed his ATO which may be converted to his ELC with Nashville

The ATO come back to college option is some wild stuff that i'll be curious to see someone try push

I don't understand why you wouldn't give all your borderline guys AHL games to end the year then...

yeah exactly. don't really see why most teams wouldn't push that other than having to have room, but if you're not in the playoffs there's no reason playing a 30+ year old journeyman over even playing someone like Hendrickson or Ludtke to figure out if you even want them to remain part of your long-term vision

now hasn't been tested to this point so there is a chance the NCAA could shoot it down (they blocked some NCCAB guys).

Cerrato same thing as Fink. The way they are describing these definitely seems like something is up rather than the ELCs they used to sign.
