Lots of contenders and no truly dominant team from my perspective.
 

SEA beats NE in the Super Bowl and Darnold drives through the Twin Cities with the MVP trophy to thank Vikings fans.

Lots of decent teams...I'd imagine the money in Vegas will be spread out considerably.

If the Bears lose against the Packers, they can look back at what I think was dumb to not opt for Load Management against the Lions. Lost anyway but still got the #2 seed (because the Eagles correctly rested key players, IMO).

2nd short week in a row for Chicago and now against Green Bay who did rest as many players as possible against the Vikings.

Seattle does look like the most complete team right now. What their defense did to the 49ers Saturday was otherworldly. That said, Darnold could lay an egg although I am happy that he has resurrected his career after playing in a couple of untenable situations. O'Connell has his work cut out for him with McCarthy, but he undoubtedly helped with Darnold's rebound (as did Shanahan).

But like the OP said, pretty wide open field except for Carolina and Pittsburgh.

It was a bit of tongue in cheek about Darnold. I would be hard-pressed to wager anything on a team led by him but that defense is absolutely smothering.

Assuming the Rams win next week, the winner of the Rams-Seahawks would be my choice to win it all especially if the Rams get a fully healthy Davante Adams back. It's hard to discount what NE, Maye and Vrabel have done this year, though.

I think it would be cool for a team that was supposed to win preciously, put together a great tun to do it, like: SF or Buffalo
 


What I noticed is that the Steeler/Texans winner will play Saturday in week 2. The issue is that the Steeler/Texans game is Monday night. Stupid.
NFL should have whichever conference is playing Monday night have the Sunday games.

Are you sure the Divisional dates are final?

Divisional Games are still TBD per the NFL. I am quite sure the Steelers/Texans Winner will be playing the following Sunday.

There only consideration is $.

Player safety is an inconvenience for them.

I'm not sure of that but the ESPN bracket showed the 2 AFC games on Saturday and the 2 NFC games on Sunday. Could be a mistake by whoever posted it for ESPN.

Edit: just looked at NFL site and though it shows 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, it doesn't specify who. Like others above have said, it would be crazy if Steeler/Texans winner didn't play on Sunday.

I looked as espn.com and whomever is running their page does indeed seem to be asleep at the wheel.

I doubt that is right. CBS and Fox will each have one game each day. I don't think they schedule them until at least Sunday night's games are over.
 

I'm in on 3 dogs this weekend; Steelers, Jags, and Chargers. Rams will handle Carolina, Eagles will handle the 49ers, and I have zero clue on the Packers-Bears, although I'd lean Packers. Neither team can stop the run to save their collective lives so who knows?

One of the gambling pods I listen to rattled off some numbers; 1st time playoff QBs against seasoned vets have absolutely abysmal numbers, which would include Maye and Williams. It's just too hard to overlook the historically easy schedule the Patriots have played, and Harbaugh's teams play tough football and that defense is getting better every week for the Chargers. Rodgers and the Steelers should upset the Texans in PITT.
