I know I've seen other threads on this, but they are buried and I don't feel like digging.

I've heard great things about Lincoln and the gameday vibe. Super stoked to make the trip for the first time.

Any must hit restaurants/bars? Tailgating recommendations for Saturday afternoon? Other tips?

Old Market is a great place for a short visit, lots of places to eat and etc.

Yeah I agree. Hotels are fairly reasonable for this weekend as well. Correction on the bus link that I provided. It is a bus that runs routes from the city of Lincoln to the stadium and not from Omaha. Still trying to search for such an option.

So I am flying into Omaha at 11 AM on Saturday and hoping to get to Lincoln as quickly as possible, any ideas?

Renting a car is my backup plan but I would rather find a shuttle/train/ride.

My dad and I are going on the Creative Charter bus at 5 AM. I can't wait for Saturday and it should be a good time!

All packed up! Heading down tomorrow with dad. Go Gophers!〽️[emoji458]

Five of us are heading to Lincoln tomorrow morning and meeting up with the sixth member of our group down there. It will be the 2-year anniversary of one of the most glorious Gopher football memories of my life. That day in Lincoln two years ago was FABULOUS!

The Sidetrack Band at the Single Barrel is a blast

Depending on what time you get there, Friday nights (well any night really) at Misty's are pretty fun in Lincoln, for a quick lunch or something of that nature hit up a Runza, it's a fast food place that we don't have here in Minnesota, they're fairly good.

Did you find someone to join you? If not you are welcome to ride with us. We will leave Mpls around 8am tomorrow.

I saw my first college game in 1945, Minnesota vs. Nebraska in Lincoln, in which Minnesota crushed NU 61-7. Bernie Bierman's Gophers ran from the single wing and were composed of players he had retained from the Naval Pre-flight program and included Leo Nomellini, Gordon Soltau, Clayton Tonnemaker, Billy Bye, Irv Faunce, and a guy named Bud Grant. They made quite an impression on me and I have followed Gopher football ever since, after my Huskers,of course. Welcome back to Lincoln. May we have a good game and no one gets hurt.

Thank you for sharing that memory! These teams have played some good games over the years (can we forget about 1984 please) and I look forward to this match up every year.
Can't wait to see my first game in Lincoln.

If you're on your way there, try to avoid 80 west of Omaha if at all possible. Ugly traffic jam has the freeway at a standstill
