Works out for me and the GF's family as well. they have had one in Mexico for 20 years. We go every year and while the sales pitch is annoying we get a free excursion each time and a very solid breakfast. The spot we stay it the most is right on the beach and we are treated very well.

My wife and kids took a trip to a warm location. My mother in law and her man got down there a day or two prior. Upon our arrival, my wife was getting texts that we were going to do a fun outing / tour and MIL was wanting to pay for it and buy us breakfast.

As more details emerge, we needed to meet her at this resort. In fact, it was a timeshare presentation. Someone at the airport talked her into us coming to this. The breakfast was fine, and me and my MIL's man essentially spend the whole time being sarcastic and joking with the tour sales person.

We gave the guy a lot of grief and he gave it back which was fun, but it wasn't the way I was planning on spending the first half day of vacation. My MIL got some van / bus tickets to go to a different attraction, but at that point in the day, we decided to take the kids back to base camp and call it a day and start enjoying our location.

I do believe my MIL mentioned on social media how she was "treating us".

I don't have a timeshare. I have a timesteal...It's at my in-laws' place in Iowa. Like a timeshare, the presentation (given by the wife) is glowing and lists many positive things...and is also accompanied with a nice meal. But unlike a timeshare presentation, I cannot get out of it or decline...or raise any questions or have any negative comments about the timesteal.

Your post doesn't make sense. You mention your wife listing many positive things about it, but you also said the location is in Iowa....those two things don't work together. :)
 


I wish I had walked away from the timeshare portion of this thread as quickly as I've walked away from every timeshare pitch I've ever been invited to.

How can you turn down a free Jaxon Hoard recruiting thread? You only have to sit through a brief discussion about timeshares, but then other than that, enjoy the Jaxon Howard thread.

You forgot that this thread also comes with a length discussion of BBQ joints as well. Typical misrepresentation of what is being sold.....just like with a timeshare.....

There is a difference between Burger King getting your order wrong and you finding an onion ring in your fries. I consider the BBQ discussion more like the onion ring in the fries.

I don't know, think that discussion might have lasted longer than the timeshare one.

Plus I don't know that the analogy fits, I am not a big fan of threads going totally off track, but getting an onion ring mixed in with your fries is awesome.

I see what you're doing here....trying to steer this into a fast food burger joint debate instead of a timeshare debate.

Ok, I'll go for it. Controversial take - 5 Guys is overrated.

Oh, and to keep it on topic - wonder how Jaxon feels about fast food burgers?
 




In actual Jaxon Howard news.....(we can still post that here right). I see there is a premium story on Gohperillustrated saying Howard set 3 spring visits. And on his prospect page LSU, Miami, and Minnesota now show as Warm so assuming those would be the destinations he picked so far but that is just a guess based on clues as I don't have premium access.

Would definitely see it is a positive for us if he is using an official visit on us given his proximity to campus.

Sorry to derail the thread with actual info about Howard.... :)

The Gophers need a break to sweep the top four in-state recruits. I don't think this has ever happened before. Elinneus Davis also has not committed to a school.

2018 we got 3 of the top 4, but never offered #3 David Alston.
 

If Biden gas prices keep rising, it should help the Gophers recruiting. Stay home, to expensive to drive to Madison or Iowa City On Saturdays.
