All Things Gophers Football at Washington Road Trip Thread

Per Shama:

The football Gophers figure to have at least a couple thousand fans in Seattle for their September 26 game against Washington. A friend is asking if anyone knows of people selling individual boat tickets for “sail-gating” on that Saturday. Anyone who has a connection can email [email protected].

Go Gophers!!
Wife and I are doing this one. Come and join us!

According to Danny Spewak’s book on the 1941 Gopher football team, 3000 Gopher fans made the trip for the intersectional season opener. Most of the Minnesota fans made the trip by rail taking advantage of one cent a mile round trip fares. This year’s game is played exactly 85 years and one day later. There will be far more than 2000 Gopher fans attending the game.
From what I have heard and read, this feels like 5,000 gophs fan there is not a big stretch. Got at least eight in our group.

Just got a reconfirmation from Creative Charters for the Washington game. We're leaving Thursday morning, returning Sunday. Looking forward to the private "Sailgate" on Lake Washington before the game. Lodging is conveniently located at downtown Sheraton Grand.

What? No Olympia? The Schlitz of the PNW. Actually just looked and the Internet thingie said it's closed. Damn it. I drank that a lot in college.

When you go to an away game like this, do you work with the Gopher Ticketing office on tickets, or just go through other channels?
I’m not going but have friends that are who split season tickets.

Gopher section upper 300 level for $85 a piece. Which is probably section 332/333. There is a lower section from 101-103 where band and parents sit. Think this would be small like Penn St or Ohio St but are going $80- $100. Players would come out of that corner tunnel.
You can tickets off stubhub in 300 level visiting section for $34. I guess the perk of the 300 level is some of deck is covered on case of rain. Really just seems a lot more expensive going through the U.
