Catcher from Holy Family one of the top 2019s in a loaded Minnesota class. Gophers were in on him but he picks Missouri. I know it is the SEC but I don't see the draw to Mizzou but between the 18 and 19 classes it is now the 3rd Minnesotan they have landed so they must be selling something well.

Looks like the roster has been updated, doesn't look like any surprises.

Incoming freshman Josh Culliver and his Creighton Prep team have reached the legion world series again and that got underway today. Culliver got the win 9-1 in their opener against a team from Nevada that came in with a team average of .400+. Culliver used his fastball and changeup a lot but did mix a breaking ball in as well, thought the change might be his best pitch. Announcers said his fastball was anywhere from 86-92. He was perfect through 4 innings and finished with a line of 7 innings, 0 runs, 2 hits, 1 walk, and 5 strikeouts.

Culliver starting on the mound again now on ESPNU for the Legion Championship.

Culliver gets the tough 2-1 loss. Went 6 innings gave up 2 runs on 7 hits while walking 2 and striking out 5. Had a few tough luck hits and his stuff wasn't quite as good as it was in his first outing but really did a nice job of working out of a few jams and giving his team a good chance to win.

One of the top players in the state for the '19 class. Another program who has consistently made trips to Omaha the past few years. Shows how good the baseball in Minnesota really is but also disappointing because you would love to see the Gophers land guys like this. There are at least a few more very high level '19 kids in-state that have these same types of offers so I'm sure it will be tough to land them but hopefully at least 1 of them opts to stay home.

6'3" 185lb catcher from Chaska. I think his dad is Lee Swenson director of baseball operations for the Gophers.

One of the top 2020's in the country. Was the 2017 futures game MVP earlier this summer and plays for Rochester Century. Gophers were one of his first 2 offers along with Nebraska.

2018 left handed hitting catcher from Illinois. Committed to Arkansas in June of 2016 but reopened his recruitment this July. Currently ranked as the #8 player in Illinois.

Steve Comer to be inducted to the "M" Club Hall of Fame

per the U:

Steve Comer (Baseball, 1973-76)

Almost 40 years after pitching his final inning for the Gophers, Comer still remains the program’s all-time leader in both career wins (30) and complete games (25). His 30-9 career record with a 2.93 earned-run average is among the best in team history, numbers that include his dazzling, Big Ten-record 0.39 ERA during conference play in 1973. Comer was a two-time All-Big Ten selection who pitched for two Big Ten championship and three NCAA tournament teams before embarking on a seven-year MLB career.

Another one of the top 2020's in the nation. Plays at Burnsville and his brother Sam was drafted and signed with the Mariners this summer. Probably a pretty decent chance as of now that neither Carlson nor Horvath actually make it to North Carolina.

Fall practices get underway today. Also looks like the Gophers have 1 open roster spot as Sophomore to be Alex Farley is no longer listed.

The Gophers will be playing Thursday/Friday this week at 3:30pm at Siebert Field as well as next Thursday/Friday at 3:30 in scrimmages within the roster. Dates are September 21/22-28/29 of September.

Based on Georgia State releasing their schedule it looks like the Gophers will open up the 2018 season there as it says they will host Minnesota Sunday February 18th. I believe it is a tournament. Ohio State also released their schedule and it looks like the Gophers go to Columbus again for a series April 27th-29th.

Also as goldfan24 mentioned Gophers released some dates for open scrimmages.
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Radel is a very nice addition to the '18 class. 6'2 from Sioux Falls with a fastball in the low 90's that goes along with a sharp breakng slider.
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Some scheduling information. Gophers will play @Nebraska March 23-25, vs. Penn State April 6-8, George Washington(in Dallas) March 13, and it looks like before taking on Georgia State on Sunday of opening weekend the Gophers will face Georgia Tech on Friday and Kennesaw State on Saturday. We also already know the B1G/Pac 12 challenge will be at U.S. Bank March 2-4 I believe with the Gophers, Illinois, and Michigan State each facing Arizona, UCLA, and Washington.
A little roster update as well, it looks like redshirt sophomore to be Ben Humbert is no longer on the roster. He did not play in his time with the program.

Mentions in the article the Gophers will play perennial power TCU this season.

Couple new 2019 commits. Jamroziak is a rhh outfielder from Muskego, Wisconsin. He is currently ranked 9th in the 2019 Wisconsin class. He had previously committed to Oklahoma last spring before decommiting last summer.
Gurka is a RHP from Joliet Catholic in Illinois. Has good size at 6-3 195 and has been up to 88. Was one of the top Illinois pitchers in the PBR Futures games.

More schedule news Gophers host NDSU February 27th and April 10th, Milwaukee March 7th, Creighton March 9-11, St.Johns March 29-31, Indiana May 4-6, and Michigan State May 11-13. They will travel to UT Arlington March 14th, TCU March 16-18, and St.Johns May 15th.

2018 SS from Eden Prairie.
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Kind of a late rising 2018 kid from Chicago. Touched 90 a few weeks ago in a perfect game tournament and was named an all tournament pitcher for his performance there.
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

6'3 195 right handed hitting 1B/RHP from Colorado. Currently the #5 player in the Colorado class of 2019.
