This is crazy
That's a nice thought but the PGA of America has zero jurisdiction over the Players that comprise US Team.I hope the PGA of America doesn’t let today white wash the failing that Friday and Saturday were. They have now last 6 of the last 9 I believe. Things need to change.
If you’re up 13.5-2.5, that’s going to be the last thing on your mindIf you come into the day with 13.5 points that is a great way to seal the win.
The PGA of America owns and operates the Ryder Cup on US soil. There is a committee that sets the rules for selections and what not. That is comprised of 3 PGA of America executive's, 3 PGA Tour executives, and 3 players I think. They can adjust the points for automatic bids and influence the captains picks. This year the course setup was a joke and may have cost the US a chance at wining. That's a nice thought but the PGA of America has zero jurisdiction over the Players that comprise US Team.
I suspect there will be some changes. Enough to produce a victory across the pond for the first time since 1993? Highly doubtful.
The biggest mistake this year was having Keegan Bradley as the Captain. He should have been playing.

Also, this all comes back to Phil starting LIV cause neither Zach Johnson or Keegan Bradley were ready to be captains. This is especially true with Keegan still playing competitive golf. I have no idea who the next captain is in 2027.
They maybe could’ve tried to hide pins more, but yeah the strokes gained on the greens prior to Sunday were insane in the Euros edge. Was part of what made the comeback possible is the US finally started to hit some and Europe wasn’t quite at the same insane levelI don't think changing the process for selecting the team had much impact.
Seems like they charge it every time and it winds up being 10 - 11 no brainers with 1 or 2 hard choices. Should have been Bradley playing instead of Griffin IMO.
As for Phil disrupting the rotation, I think of any number of candidates past their playing prime who would have been better options. Love & Stricker certainly knew how to set up a course to their advantage.
What it comes down to is the Euros made putts Friday & Saturday and the Yanks didn't to build an ultimately insurmountable lead.
I don't think that the PGA of America could have done anything more to get them to drop. Ball don't lie.
