Best thing about this from my perspective (having never seen him play) is that he did it in a real big game tight down to the wire. That can't be coached. It seems we see it every year in the NCAA's when more talented teams (Arizona-Miami) wilt when the chips are down when guys on the other teams just want the ball to make the big play and actually make it. BTW, one of the recruiting strategies of Loyola is getting guys who played for state championship teams. Obviously can't be the only recruiting criterion, but not a bad one to have on your checklist and proved effective in the tight big games.
I am so grateful to have a great shooter coming into the program. Having him be a local guy is an added bonus. Hope springs eternal.
